Day 7 - Sea World & last minute shopping at Surfers Paradise

Visited Sea World today. As usual, the queue has started to form when we reached the entrance but within minutes, we were in it. Saw a couple taking down the show timing at the entrance and so we follow suit. We took a photo of the show timing instead of writing but just to realize that the timing is just in the pamphlet given. So cuckold.

The world is basically divided into a few parts, the kids’ ride, trill ride, a part where there’s all the sea animals like star fish, sea cucumber, our favourite polar bear, sharks etc and also the areas for shows like dolphin feeding, penguin feeding, water ski show…..

Was quite disappointed that the Viking(Videl’s favourite) and their most trilling ride, the cork screw were closed for maintenance. There’s not much on the trill rides with only Viking’s revenge, Bermudas triangle and ski rescue. Kennie and the kids tried the ski rescue while I watched them enjoying themselves. Didn’t want to try it due to back pain Was worried that the turning and twisting will aggravate it. The Bermudas triangle is quite innovative as we took a rescue boat into the Bermudas triangle for an adventure trip. There’s alien and lost ships and aeroplane to simulate the place. The best part is when the mountain exploded and water start gushing towards us.

The kids ended playing the kids ride again and again as there's no other interesting rides. They had previously said that the kids’ ride are so childish when we were in the other worlds but now they were enjoying it. The kids’ rides were quite all nicely designed with the characters of the Sesame Street. Think not only the kids liked it, I personally liked it very much.

Took their monorail(the first in Brisbane?) and their cable car to tour around the place. Watched the dolphins performance and the penguin feeding time. If only we can touch these lovely animals.

Was supposed to go for the dinner buffet at sea world resort as they are having a 1 for 1 promotion for their seafood buffet. Kids only need to pay $1 for every year old. Quite a good deal but we changed our mind as we need to do some last minute shopping to buy their local product back.

Walked around the whole surfers to find a nice restaurant but couldn’t find one and ended going back to Marriot Courtyard for their seafood platter. Nothing much to buy so just bought some nougats and Macadamia nuts.

We braved through the wind to walk back to our apt and thanks goodness, the heavy downpour only came when we reached home.. Busy packing when we got back.
