Day 5 - Dreamworld and Weds/Fri Night market at Esplanade
The tickets were bought at the reception in our apt. $204 for a family package which includes 2 days entry to dreamworld and white water world (the wild and wet equivalent). For a single day package to dreamworld, it’s $224. Of course we go for this package. Actually wanted to go white water world on sat but Kennie was already very stressed that the sun has caused damage to her hair so we didn’t go.
We tried the sky drop down first. The seats will move to a very high height (at 500m) and after a while, it dropped down. I was quite afraid initially and closed my eyes for a split sec but it’s actually not very scary and so opened back my eyes. Poor Veona, the ride actually hurt her back caused by the jerking when it suddenly stopped. She was so stressed after that she didn’t want to take the rest of the rides.
Tried the rest of the trill rides with the exceptional of wipeout. Have been hearing its big name since more than a decade ago but after seeing the other riding it, we decided not to try it. Actually it’s not very scary but it’s the flipping and turning that worries us. We are worried that we might vomit after taking it.
Was quite disappointed that most of the rides are quite old already. We tried their roller coaster, Cyclone and there was so much jerking causing Kennie and Veona to keep knocking their head.
Visited their wild life section. Was so happy when I saw the kangaroo that I ran over to take a picture with them. Kennie was so scared of them that she didn’t dare to move.
The theme for the kids rides are from Nickelodeon Central where the main feature is from the character from Spongebox Square Pants. But the kids find it too childish and only played a few rides. They are more adventurous and wanted to try the more trilling rides.
Night shopping at the night market at Esplanade. It’s actually a night market that is only open on Weds and Fri at the Esplanade Surfers Paradise. Most of them sell those special handmade craft but it's quite ex so we didn’t buy anything in the end.
