Day 2 - Surfers Paradise, marketing and shopping

We woke up at around 5am as we were all very excited and the sky was already very bright. Our apartment is just located beside the beach and the view is so nice. Took out my camera and started snapping the nice view. Went to the beach to take more photos. The view was even nicer at the beach with the high buildings beside it. There are people sun tanning, surfing and jogging/strolling at this hour, and the sun is already shining strongly.

As we were afraid of getting burnt, we left after a while and walked over to Surfer Paradise, Cavil Ave for BF. Cavil Ave is where the main action begin and it's located around 1km away (15 mins walk) from our apartment. Actually wanted to stay somewhere there but the rates are much higher compared to ours.

A bit boring cause we had Mac for bf cause Kennie always like to try out other country's Mac. Nothing special as it's almost similar to ours. Then we went shopping at Centro Surfers and Chevron Renaissance, and also to their supermarket, Coles and Woolworth supermarket to buy some groceries. There are so much varieties of things to buy as compared to our boring supermarket.

We rushed back to our apartment to check-in as the reception was already closed when we reached yesterday. Their working hour is really very short. 8 to 5 on weekday, 9 to 3 on Sat and 9 to 1 on Sun. Weather was so hot that it almost kill us just by walking the 1km back our apartment. Suddenly think that we should have stayed at a apartment right at the doorstep of Surfers Paradise. But no choice due to budget constraint.

The rest of the day is just shopping at the same place again and again. Nothing much to buy cause their trend is not like ours but they have lot of of beautiful surf wears and bikini. Anyway, we have anticipated it will be boring today since it's just a warm up for our trip. The sky has darken by 5 and the weather has turned cold. As we heard that there's not much activity at night, we stayed in our apartment for the rest of the night. enjoying home cooked steak and wine. oh yes.. the wine here is dirt cheap.
