I'm officially 33 today. Not really happy cause I'm older by a year. Was on off today but Kennie couldn't take leave to company me. Slacked at home and busy updating my blog. Finally managed to complete writing our Gold Coast trip. Didn't really write much on this trip cause it's just theme parks and theme parks.

Had lunch with Kennie. She took an extra hour to accompany me. Initially wanted to try the buffet lunch at Element at Amara Hotel but it was really very ex, $40+ per person. Ended eating at a Korean Restaurant at Amara Hotel. Price not very cheap either but they had the set lunch which is quite very for money. Shopped around TP area after lunch, actually shd say we are walking aimlessly instead of shopping

Went shopping alone at Vivo City. Left after a while to visit Mum at Sis's place, a SOP that I must do on my bday. I'm like the Guest of Honour as Cara and Crystal keep singing Bday song for me. They even gave me an Ang Pao each for my present. Hehe... but there are only stickers inside.

The kids shared money to buy my a bday kids for me. They actually wanted to give me a surprise but Mil actually let the cat out of the bag. She's going out so I asked her where she's going and she replied, I'm going out to buy cake. So I asked, buy cake? Then she replied, no no, I'm going to buy beer. Buy what cake?

I did something very bad tonight. Veona has been giving us quite a headache recently. I was very worried about her. She has been asking us questions that her level should know and has also been asking us many irrelevant questions. Is she trying to attract our attention? Is she feeling insecure? So this incident actually happened today, she's supposed to sleep when Kennie and I went home. But instead, she called Kennie and asked her many questions instead of going to bed. I was so pissed off that I took the phone from Kennie and scolded Veona. Told Veona that it's my worse bday today all because of her and she should do some reflection. sigh.... I shouldn't have said all that.

My "hard Work" has finally paid off. Got a better PB this year, much better than I expected. So so so happy........ Gave staffs a treat at Kuishin-Bo at JP.

Colleagues got a bday cake for me but not really very use to having a group of ppl singing bday song for me.

BF at Ah Hwa Ba Kut Teh before going for tomb sweeping. Think the standard dropped quite a lot cause the soup is more salty and not as peppery hot as before. Will give it another chance to see if their standard has really dropped. But anyway, good news to many of us (if the standard maintained) cause they will be opened during night time from now on. Previously they will be closed at around 3 but now, they will still closed at around 3 and reopen for business from 5 till midnight

It's Qing Ming aka Tomb Sweeping month this month. So we would need to visit our ancestors to give offering and to clean up their tomb. My face almost got burnt when burning the incense paper cause the fire is burning so fierce.













Feel quite bad that we couldn't join them for the second part of the tomb sweeping cause Videl has lots of homework.. sian. spent the rest of the day doing homework.

Dinner at Hilltop Tepanyaki to celebrate my bday in advance. Kennie couldn't take leave on my bday and the kids also need to study so no program for us that night.. Gonna be a boring bday for me..

Dinner with Jo and Agnew at Long Beach Seafood Restaurant which is just beside Kallang Mac. Had been there for so many times for meetup but didn't know of its existence. A bday treat by them. But a bit disappointing as they are supposed to be famous for their crabs but the crabs that they served us were not fresh. Actually didn't want to complain but the staff came over to ask us for our comment and so I just casually commented that it's not fresh..... & in the end, we got complimentary dessert.

The plus point for this restaurant is that the service is really very good. They are always eager to change our plates, top up the tea and their waitresses/waiters are very friendly. But don't think we will be back again. IMO, the most impt factor is good food. For service wise, as long as they are not really very attitude, it's not really very impt.

Went to Marina Barrage after dinner. It's Earth hour from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm and we were there to join in the fun as we heard that they will be switching off the light for the Singapore Flyer and Esplanade.

Earth Hour is a global initiative by the World Wide Fund for Nature to raise awareness of climate change. It is the second year that Earth Hour is being observed in Singapore. Think there's more publicity this year as more people are aware of this special hour compared to last year.

The place was quite packed and we ended parking at some illegal parking lots at a construction site. A wrong move as hundreds of mosquitoes attacked us within mins. It's true, I'm not exaggerating. They are like the hantu from the 7th mths.
