Day 6 of our Malaysia Road Trip
Bf at Sisters Drunken Chicken Noodles at Jalan Alor. Their specialty are rice wine noodles with lots of ginger and black fungus strips and chicken. But we are also allowed to customise it, fish, prawns, pork innards and even pig blood. The rice wine broth has the right balance and I finished the whole bowl of soup. But Kennie think otherwise. She felt that the wine taste is too strong and she doesnt really like.

More shopping at Berjaya Time Square.
The Super Heroes Family |
Nice mixed vege rice at basement of Time Square. The staff will pass us the plain rice and we will help ourselves with the food. We can take as much as we want and they will charge us based on the amount of food we take. If only we can help ourselves with the food in Sg. I cant stand the server in Sg. If they gave us a bit more, they will take it back. Buay tahan them.
Nice Thai Tea at Low Yat Plaza. Cha Tra Mue is one of the leading thai milk tea brand in Thailand. Instead of regular plastic cups, Cha Tra Mue used a better quality cup which is reusable. They are currently having a buy 1 get 1 free promotion
They are also selling their tea mix Milk tea. We can DIY at home |
Took the Monorail to Maharajalela station and walked to Petaling Street (Chinatown).
As usual, we didnt buy anything at Petaling Street as they are mostly selling imitation goods.
Our dinner at Petaling Street. The main purpose of coming here is to eat the KL black hokkien mee.
Best dried longan |
Since we are still early, we decided to walk to Tengkat Tong Shin behind Jalan Alor to check out if man sook (slow uncle) is still there. Miss his crispy mee suah and hor fun. We went there twice in 2009/2010 but the stall was not opened.
Was so happy when we saw the stall was opened. Asked the stall owner if the stall belong to an old uncle and he told me that the uncle is his father. Guess he has passed his business to his son or he had already kicked the bucket.
Anyway, his cooking is as good as man sook. Crispy deep fried mee suah with amazing "wok-hei" aroma.
