Day 4 of our Malaysia Road Trip
Bf is included in our stay. It's quite decent. Not those buffet type but it's those that we ordered from the menu. This place is a Fine Dining restaurant for lunch and dinner.
Visited the one and only places of interest for this trip, Kek Lok Tong Cave 极乐洞.The cave is something like a Chinese temple inside a cave. Admission is free. The view surrounding the cave was quite impressive.
There are a few miniature statue and sculpture inside the cave to see
The inside of the cave comprises a central altar featuring a number of Buddhist figures as well as various deities.
To conclude our little tour, a garden with an impressive mountain backdrop was awaiting us at the rear exit of the cave.
Weather was not too hot so we can take our time posing with the mountain and the garden.
Attaining immortality? Floating in the air.

Lunch at Onn Kee Bean Sprouts Chicken, The bean sprout is fat, very crunch and tasty. Not like the one we eat in Sg. Heard that it is because of the fresh water that they grow in that make it so fat and tasty.
Tasty chicken |
Nice Hor Fun |
We are becoming a glutton. Eat eat eat. Kennie's frd recommended a nice place for Beef Hor Fun which is just a few stalls away from Onn Kee.
Shopping for flower tea, local products and IPOH white coffee
Nice Tau Sar Piah
Herbal tea to cool our body.
Managed to find a nice shopping ctr. I thought it's going to be like the one that we went yest. Luckily, it really look like a decent shopping ctr with cinema, restaurant, food court and lots of shops.
Dinner at Dai Shu Geok (Big Tree Foot) 大树脚. This place is build directly under a few trees. We had the famous Yong Tau Foo and Red Bean Ice drink. The yong tau foo pieces has excellent fish paste and are very huge. I was very greedy. Tried almost all of them. Yummy
YTF with Assam Laksa |
Late night, sudden sweet craves? Ipoh’s dessert street 糖水街 is THE PLACE. The carpark towards Dessert Street is a bit ulu. I was a bit paranoid. Thought there are ppl following us. LOL
This place is famous for their Mix Fruit Shaved Ice. Fresh fruits on top of crushed ice. Many fruits in a single bowl, watermelon, mango, dragonfruit, honeydew, etc. Not like Sg's version. Only use Can fruit. Apart from fruit ice, they have nice Wanton Mee too. Beef Noodle is just average.
