Bf at Lotteria, the number one fast food restaurant in Korea beating Macdonald.
No breakfast menu as their menu is the same throughout the day.
Visited Gyeongbokgung Palace today but it was closed on Tues. We were supposed to go Everland today but as the weather is really very cold, we dropped the plan. So sad. Anyway we still managed to take some photos outside the palace. Just tat we missed the change of Guard ceremony.

The imitation of the Pullomon Gate at Gyeongbokgun station. |
Walk pass the gate and you will not age forever. Wow. I want tat! |
Then we walked back to Gyeongbokgung Station and went out from exit 2. Walked for around150m and turn left at the GS25 and it's Tosokchon. Tosokchon is one of the most popular restaurant serving Samgyetang. Samgyetang literally translates as "'ginseng chicken soup" in English. We were here very early so the place was still quite empty. Come after 11am and be prepared to queue for an hour.

The Menu |
Ginseng liquor for us to drink or to add to the soup. |
Whole pot of Kimchi for us to enjoy. |
Cubed Kimchi Radish |
Chicken Ginseng Soup - a whole chicken stuffed with sticky rice, ginseng was covered with rich, milky broth garnished with scallions and sunflower seeds. The chicken is tender and the sticky rice, having completely soaked up the flavors from the broth, was also very nice. |
Black Chicken GInseng Soup - I preferred the black chicken version as the overall taste of the broth is much tastier IMO. |
Next we went shopping at Myeongdong. Myeongdong, arguably Seoul's trendiest shopping district, is the place to hunt for mid-level fashion and facial products. All the Korea big cosmetic brands like The Face Shop, Etude House, Missha, Skinfood, (just to name a few) are everywhere in Myeongdong. There could be at least 5 or more of 1 brand in there. We dun have to worry about walking past one and having to trace back our steps to find it as we will definitely walk past another branch around the corner.
We were a bit confused on which brand to buy but finally settled on Face Shop as the Sales Assistant was very frdly. She explained to us patiently on the products and even told us not to buy too many. It's really very cheap to buy the facial product in Seoul. It's around 2 or 3 times cheaper.
Beside facial products, our Queen of shopping also bought quite a lot of clothes in Myeongdong.
Dinner at Myeondong Gyoja, a popular eatery known for its mandu (steamed dumplings) and kalguksu (knife cut noodles). This place is so popular that there are actually 2 branches in Myeondong within 90 meters of one another
Kimchi is very spicy with lots of garlic but Kennie and Kid dun really like |
Complimentary chewing gum for us to kill the garlic smell |
There are only 4 dishes in their menu and everything on the menu cost 7k won. Order the food and pay on the spot.
kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) with dumpling |
Spicy Cold Buckwheat Noodle |
Mandu (steamed dumpling). The filling inside the mandu was nice but I think it's a little over packed with meat. It would taste even better if they have sliced ginger like our Chinese dumpling. |
Shopping for Kpop idol's souvenirs |
The weather made us very tired everyday. We will shop till around evening and went back hotel to slack, and we slept very early every night. Think it's not really a wise choice to come during the cold weather but again, if it's too hot we would also complain.
