Day 2 in Seoul.
Breakfast at Noryangjin Fish Market. Just take subway to Noryangjin station and it's only 7 stations from our station.
Nice Muffin at our station (dongdaemun history culture station). There are many outlets in most of the train stations. |
Bought the ezlink card from the card machine. Had a hard time navigating the machine to buy the cards. |
In the train. |
Plastic surgery advertisement. Plastic surgery is very common in Korea. Look how she transformed into a chio bu. |
Enjoying our muffin. Eating is allowed in their Train. |
Step out of the station and we are greeted with this long overhead pedestrian bridge, which leads us across the railway and subway lines before we find ourselves at the roof carpark of the Fish Market.
Super Duper Cold. |
Noryangjin Fish Market is a very interesting place to visit. There are various different kinds of seafood that we have not seen before. All these seafood are at wholesale prices so you can get affordable and fresh seafood at the same time. We had a hard time deciding which stall to buy our seafood as we were worried that we might be chop. Bought quite a no. of seafood and proceeded to level 2 to cook our seafood.

Most of the restaurants are not opened yet so we settled for the only one that is opened. Think we were ripped off cause they charged us quite a lot for the cooking. They charged us based on the method of cooking. Steam, BBQ, Sashimi and Soup. & in addition, they also charged us a fix rate for each person. Anyway, the cooking really cmi. Spoil our fresh seafood.
My no. 1 blacklisted restaurant in Seoul. |
They only served us with a few banchan. |
Abalone Sashimi |
Steam Snail |
BBQ Giant Prawn |
Octopus hotpot. Damn ex. They charged us 10k Won just for cooking this soap and Octopus is provided by us. |
Steam Giant Cockle |
Fried Scallop. Think the restaurant stole our scallop cause the quantity seems much lesser than what we bought. |
But nevertheless, we still enjoy eating here cause the experience is something that we dun get to try in Sg. Shopped for our own seafood and bring it to the restaurant for cooking.
Greedy Kennie. Eating the whole octopus. |
After our sumptuous bf, we took the subway to Seoul Station to visit the largest Lotte Mart in Seoul. Lotte Mart is a hypermarket that sells a variety of groceries, clothing, toys, electronics, and other goods. Our main purpose here is to buy seaweed, local goodies like korean tea and instant noodle.
Rows and rows of seaweed. |
Our hoot. |
At the cashier. |
Shopping at Ewha Woman University Street. The Ewha Woman University area is one of the most popular shopping districts in Seoul. The shops and street stalls there are catered for the University students so the stuff there are much cheaper as compared to downtown Seoul. The staff here are more well mannered as compared to Dongdaemun.
Anyway, it's just shopping and shopping there so not much fanciful photos.
