Day 1 - Gold Coast Trip - Arrival and Shopping

Touched down at 7+ Aus timing. Super shack. Took quite a while to clear the custom as the queue was super long. In the end we sneak to the queue for their Residents.

Bought the Go card from the Gold Coast Shuttle bus counter. (top up $50 for Kennie and I, and $40 for the kids plus $10 deposit for each card. We only spend $140 for the whole trip. So much cheaper as compared to renting a car.) Took Bus 702 to our apartment. The idiot bus driver dropped us at the wrong bus stop and  we have to walk back 3 bus stop. I told him twice that we will be alighting at Remembrance Drive and he said he acknowledged it. In the end he dropped us at Surfers Paradise. Not sure if he did it on purpose.

On Bus 702. It took around 45mins to reach our destination. There's even a designated area allocated for luggage.

The apartment staff allowed us to check in early at 11+ instead of 2.

The recommended apartment to stay in Gold Coast. It's about 800m to the main shopping area. Though not the most convenient but the price is very affordable. $800Aus for 7nights stay, It comes with 2 bedroom, living room, waching machine, dryer and fully equipped kitchen.

There's a mini swimming swim and a BBQ area.

Then to Cole Supermarket to stock up the groceries for the week. Shopping at their Supermarket is our favourite pastime in Gold Coast.

Our lunch. Home cooked instant noodle with big prawn. Yummy. Actually it's too soggy. Dont really know how to use the thermo induction cooker.

Meet up with Cindy and her family and off we went shopping again. Btw, Cindy and her family joined us for this trip.

Buying the Themepark tickets. It's almost the same price as online.

Beachfront Markets that are only opened on Wed, Fri and Sun. Didnt manage to shop the whole market as we were too tired. Will be back on either Fri or Sun (we didnt go back due to time constraint). Actually there's not much things to buy as they are mostly selling handmade souvenirs, aromatherapy, snacks etc.

Back to hotel and relax.
