I was in uniform today cause I don't want to be the Alien among all the Ambassadors. Imagine the rest wearing Army pants while I'm the only one wearing Jeans. Look so awkward cause I have not wear uniform for years and the guys are not used to it.

We were deployed in Battle Ride and Mission World which are the project for our unit. Basically for Battle Ride, there's 4 Armour Vehicles and 1 Infantry Light Strike Vehicle to choose. They will move towards the training area around BCTC and pass through a simulated battlefield. Some visitors got the chance to fire at the enemies.

For Mission World, the visitors are transported around by the 5 tonner truck. They will get to see the Mine Clearing Vehicle clearing the mine , Primus (Locally made Artillery Vehicle) firing, Live Firing from Light Strike Vehicle, SM1 tank and Bionix.

I was in Group 1 of the Ambassador Group. Together me are Zhaoming, Junxian, Prema and Shelia. In Group 2 are Aunty Yap, Lum, Tian, Zhiyuan and Jian Hui. Our shift for today starts from 10 till 1, then from 4 till 7. Not very crowded today, think it's due to the Heavy rain. Most of the visitors are from Sec and the Army Guys. The crowds are not very difficult to manage and time flies quite fast.

We took the last ride for the Mission World. This ride is much special to the rest of the earlier rides as the mission is conducted at night. I really got a shock when the SM1 tank fire the round. I could feel the impact when the round was discharged.

Got back at around 9+. so tired. 4 more days to go

1 more day before AOH. Getting real excited as I'm not sure what type of visitors I will be facing. But anyway just remember what our cse facilitator taught us. GST. Greet, Smile, Thank you.

Busy clearing my work as I was not in the office since last Fri & will be away for AOH till next Mon. Anyway, start slacking at around 4+ cause my heart is already in AOH.

Went down to Pasir Laba camp yest and today for the Ambassadors Training. Got to visit the rest of the World but most of them are not fully setup yet. Div Comd presented us with the Ambassador Handbook, T-shirt, Course Cert and Waist Pouch yest and followed by a mini happy hour. After collecting it, we are so called a trained Ambassador and is ready for AOH.

Boss let us go back early today. So we went to JP Swenson for ice cream as we have the NDP coupon which has the 1 for 1 ice cream promotion.

Finally completed the Army Half Marathon and clocked a timing of 2hr 13 min.

Heard the news that a Army CPT collapse after completing the run. It's really very sad to hear that. Actually I didn't really put in my best effort to run the AHM. I was actually quite worried that something might happen to me if I chong all the way. I have seen too many runners collapsed during their training or the AHM itself.

Went down to Granny's house for the hungry ghost festival. Left shortly and didn't stay for the offering of the incense paper cause I was quite tired after the run.

We have a better view of the AOH layout after the walk the ground session this afternoon. Walked around the different worlds that will be showcase to the visitors. Can't wait for the actual day of the AOH.

Feeling better today. Can even eat Beef burger already. Keke.

Oops. We made Boss angry today. Better don't say the details here. Haha

I suspect I contracted Irritable Bowel Syndrome as I'm still having digestion problem. It could also be the stress caused by my new role as an AOH Ambassador and also to appear in Zao An Ni Hao. Lose around 3 kg this few days.

Running Half Marathon this Sun and I'm feeling so weak now. Breathless and tired after 5km run in the evening. The legs feel so soft and jelly. Think not eating well this few days.

Having stomach flu. No appetite and having indigestion problem. Got a shocking news from Boss. I'm going to appear in Zao An Ni Hao next week. Don't know if there's any script available for me to memorize or not. Don't think I can undertake this task as I'm camera shy and I will stutter non stop. I'm going to AWOL!!

Think I kanna the sleeping virus. Keep sleeping and sleeping. Woke up at 11+ but still feeling very tired. Slept from 3pm to 6pm again. Just couldn't get enough of sleep. What a waste of time.

Woke up feeling nausea, just like when I'm having hangover. No appetite the whole day. Just feeling very tired. Reached office at 7 and slept till 8. Slept during lunch time from 12+ to 2. Would have gone back home if not for an ambassador briefing at PLC. Feeling very cold and feverish in the afternoon.

Went to see a doc and got a day MC for tomorrow.

Usual stuff on Sun again. We had BF at Maxwell market. We were queuing for the famous porridge when I saw a 1 star general. He was the Comd of our HQ. Think his son wanted to try the porridge but he didn't want it as the queue was very long. Actually I was thinking of approaching him and offer to help him buy. Haha. Then we can strike a conversation and he will know who I am but of course carrying favour is not my cup of tea.

Went to Singapura Finance to place a FD. The interest rate is quite high @almost 2% a year, one of the highest around. Problem is we have never heard of this Co. before.

Went to PLC for the Ambassador training. We got to try out the different Armour platform and I took the Bronco. Experience was good as it's the first time I boarded a Bronco. We are supposed to be the first to try all the rides that's showcase during AOH. There will be more weekend and nights burnt for the rehearsals.

We went to The Roti Prata House at Upper Thomson. Still think that the prata at Casurina is much better but the service provided here is definitely much better . Casurina has a bochap attitude just because their business is good.

Went hunting for ice cream again. This time round we went to Estivo Gelateria which is at 26 Greenwood ave which is near NJC and Raffles Primary Sch. There's nothing much to rave about on the ice cream here. Was surprised to see the no. of restaurants there, Jap, seafood, pizza, western etc.


Went to IMM to check out the washing machine. Don't understand why Kennie is so persistent to buy a high end washing machine. I will rather settle for a Korea and Jap brand which cost less then $500 while she wanted one that's European brand which cost as much as $1k. What a waste of money. Anyway didn't know that there's an outdoor water playground. Seems quite fun.

Saw an idiot who bully me when I was a boy. I could remember exactly what happened on that day. I was only 12 or 13 when it happended. I was playing with a group of kids when I saw a used Kotek on the floor and I shouted "KOTEK". This guy who was in his thirties start scolding me and saying that I should not be saying that in front of the small girls. He started kicking and abusing vulgarities on me. I was so scared that I ran away as fast as I could. Anyway, he still look as barbaric as before. When I saw him today, I was so angry that I wanted to beat him or hurl vulgarties on him. But of course I didnt do it. I could only say that he will get his retribution one day.

Enough of him. Ran 16km at ECP today. Ran for 6km and it started to rain heavily. Ha. Thought we can call it a day as I was really very tired as I have not recovered fully from the run on Wed. Heaven was not on my side and we had to continue our run.

Dinner with my collegues at Waraku Jap Restaurant. The money is from the sales of the PSP and portable DVD player that we won during ARR. Still have a balance of $70 after this meal.

Ran 7 rounds around my camp perimeter yesterday, the furthest I have ever ran in camp. The distant is around 14km. Running in camp could be boring but running 7 rounds in camp is really crazy. The repeatation and seeing the same scenery over and over again are real bored. Actually I have already clocked the mileage last Fri but just acompany ZM to run as he has missed the run last week.

Some role playing for the ambassadors today. Some got to act as nasty people while the unlucky ones need to handle this group of nasty people. We got to get ourselves prepared for all the different kinds of people that we need to handle during AOH.

Attended a 1 day course on how to be a good ambassador. Course title is "Engaging your audience professionally". Hate to attend this type of course as the lecturer will make us present or introduce ourselves in front of everyone. This time round, the lecturer made us tell everyone the most memorable day in our life. 3S in my mind. Sweat! Stress! Siao liao! Anyway find the course really very Bo Liao. Teaching us on our posture, eye contact, correct way to talk bla bla. Think I can only absorbed 10% of what was taught.

Finally another Sun that Kennie doesn't have to OT. But like previous time, we didn't get to enjoy it. Kennie was not feeling well this time thanks to the after effect of the red wine. As usual, she's suffering from gastric pain after drinking too much.

We went down to Holland Village as we heard that there's a nice bakery there but left after a while as we couldn't get a parking lot. Too bad, maybe better luck next time.

We had lunch at this porridge stall at Jalan Bukit Merah. Actually I tried it once a decade ago and it was quite nice then but it was horrible today. Beside being cheap, I couldn't see any reason to patronise it again.

Usual stuff for the night. Piano lesson, dinner, etc.

Had Breakfast at the newly renovated Old Airport Road FC. Most of the shops were not opened for Bf. We tried the 2 stalls selling Prawn Noodle that's just a few stalls beside each other.

Will come back here again for dinner as I guessed all the nice food are only open during dinner time.

Went to ECP for blading. Both Veona and Videl have improved quite a lot. We do not need to hold their hands while they blade already.

Beach Road prawn noodle at East Coast Road

Had lunch at the popular East Coast Road Prawn Noodle. Prawn Noodle again!!!!!! Haha. We are the enemies of the prawns as we like to Prawn Noodle from all over Singapore. Apparently the whole shop only serve Prawn Noodle and Wu Xiang. Customers will order Wu Xiang to go along with their Bowl of Prawn Noodle. Serving is quite small but the prawns are fresh and the soup is very nice, much better than the 2 prawn noodle stalls that we had for BF.

Next we went to another home-made-local flavours, Ice Cream Chefs at East Coast. They have quite limited flavours and the ice cream is not as nice as Daily Scoop and Island Creamery. What makes it special is that we can choose the flavours of the ice cream and add in topping like M&M, coco crunch, mashmallow etc etc and mix it together using the tepayanki plate. After mixing it, it will turn out to be an unique flavour. Whether the taste is good or not will depend on what were mixed.

The kids went over to Karin's house to stay tonight as we went to Kennie's CO. D&D. It's held at Asian Civilisation Museuem and the theme for is Retro Night. But turn out only a few guests were dressed to the theme. The Program and Emcee were quite entertaining but the food sucks. Kennie got high after drinking a lot of red wine and it really pissed me off.
