Happy Deepavali to all Hindu. It's holiday for us too. BF at Lavender FC. The food centre is very big with lots of nice food. Will come back again to try the rest of the stalls.

This stall is quite famous selling Mee Chiam Kuey. It's not just ordinary Mee Chiam Kuey with peanut or red bean paste. This store has special filling like sambal chilli, hot dog, tuna and many many types. It looks more like pizza.

Ham with Cheese Mee Chiam Kuey

Actually I came here for the prawn noodle. Heard good review of this stall but was quite disappointed with it especially the chilli powder. It tasted like those indian curry powder.

Long House Popiah - 1 of the famous popiah stall in Sg with many stalls in different parts of Sg. Nothing fantastic about it. Tasted just like a normal popiah

This stall sells very nice fish porridge. Fish is fresh and the soup is tasty.

Wanted to visit Granny but she's not around so went to Karin's house instead. So paiseh, she's doing her housework and we went there to disturb her. Went to Ten Dollars Club again. 5 hours of singing. My voice became hoarse after the long hour of singing.

Heard that there's a nice Western Food at Margaret drive so we went there to check it out. Queued for almost 30 mins as it's self service. Coffee shop food with food court price but the serving is quite big. The food is not really very fantastic, kind of disappointed as I was expecting much more than that. Maybe it's due to the long wait and the oily smell that I was exposed to that made me lose my appetite.
Ye Lai Xiang? Sound like those sleazy bar.
The Menu. Expensive food in this rundown hawker
Sirloin Steak. A bit hard and chewy
Fish & Chip. Quite average

Chicken Cutlet - quite nice but the sauce spoil the whole thing. Chicken cutlet should be crispy and dry, and not wet and soggy.

Chicken Chop - Not bad. Chicken is quite tender

The kids had piano lesson today as Ms Teh would not be free for the next 2 weeks. Visited Soo Mee at her house. She's nowing having her confinement.

Boss is back from Australia. Didn't really disturb us as he was busy clearing his work. Handed back some work to the new colleague, have quite a hard time explaining the procedures to her. Hope we didn't stress her too much.

Decided to fetch the kids home everyday as I was worried that the smoke from Mil's house will harm the kids. I really felt that they are inconsiderate. Public places like coffee shop and Pub has banned smoking but why are they still smoking in the house. The house is so confine and the smoke would be trapped in it forever. It's quite tiring to fetch the kids home everyday as we would have to wake up earlier everyday but it's all for the health benefit of the kids.

Woke up with an aching body as I slept on the massage chair yesterday. Super shack out. Met Lian Fei at JP as we planned to buy some medical policy from him. Ended recommending us to upgrade our Health shield plan, pink of health, accident and investment policy. We would like to buy all of them but due to budget constraint, we have to think over it carefully.

New makeover for my car. All black now (less the rim)

The kids continued their Monopoly game in the morning.

Virgin cooking using our stove. I'm like a kitchen assistant, doing most of the cutting of the garlic, chilli, ginger etc. Kennie did most of the cooking while I only cooked the clam.

Lady finger with chilli

Steam prawn with egg

Chilli Claim

Melon sharkfin soup

It's Ken's birthday. Had dinner at Zion Road FC. Lots of nice food there.

Famous Carrot Cake Shop

The owner of the carrot cake shop is a mute. He read our lips to take order

Not really very nice. A bit bland to my liking.

The cockles fried kway teow is very nice. Super long queue. The owner was even invited to the swearing of President Nathan.

Avocado with longan.

We went to a KTV pub, Ten Dollars Club, at Smith Street to celebrate Ken's birthday. It's dirt cheap. Only $10 per person for 3 hours of singing and free flow of soft drinks and hot drinks.

A bowl of Sharkfin soup for everyone. Tasted horrible.

Lousy red wine. It's very diluted, we even suspected that they add water to it.

Karin bought the kids back to her home while the rest of us went to Movida. It's quite happening but we didn't really like the live band as they sang Latin songs. Kennie and I went over to Karin's house to stay. Ken and I ended guarding the living room.

Back to office on Thurs. New colleague reported to work, a bit soft spoken type. Lunch treat from Aunty at Margaret Drive. She quite addicted to the Chicken Rice.

Kennie and I went to Sunset Way for dinner. Heard that it's going to be the next Holland Village so we went there to check it out. Nothing special except for some restaurants and a pub.

It's time to bid farewell to Jianhui. We went to Island Creamary for ice cream today. A farewell treat from him.

Jodie staying overnight tonight and the kids played Monopoly. Kennie was very chao geng. She was the one who suggusted to play Monopoly but in the end I was the banker and she's busy playing with her new phone.
