Day 3 Taiwan Trip

We had the sumptuous bf in our minsu again. Was anticipating what Theresa will be preparing for us today. Omelette with baked fish set. Everything is so tasty.

Camwhoring at the Minsu before taking the cab to the railway station. Got the 依依不舍's feeling. Wiill miss Hualien not because of the shopping, food or scenery but rather the hospitality and good service of Arthur and Theresa. The 6 star service that we received from them. Hope they will maintain it and wish that they will be ranked no. 1 in Tripadvisor every year.

We reached the train station at 11am and bought our lunch to be eaten in the train.

Took the 12.15pm train back to Taipei
Our lunch. Yummy.

Checked in at Ximending Cityinn. This will be the hotel that we will be staying for the next 4 days. Booked a family room for our stay. Kids have really grown up. Previously we can squeeze into 2 single size beds but now we need 2 queen size beds. The service is good but the room doesnt look as nice as what was shown in the net. The bed sheet has stain on it and has a sticky touch. We requested for a complete cleaning the next day and it's much better after that.

Teaching us how to use the escape sling that is inside the toilet. Scary. Why is there a need for this?
Part of the escape sling

Lazing on the bed.
Complimentary snacks for us

桃源街老王記牛肉麵 to satisfy our craving for beef noodle. This is our second visit and it still taste as nice.

Shopping at Ximending. Though we seldom buy stuff at XMD but it is a must visit place for us. A trip will never be complete to Taipei without visiting XMD. Just love the crowd and this place.

Dinner at Mala Yuanyang Hot Pot. Love the unlimited serving of beef, haagen dazs ice cream and Taiwan Beer.

More shopping at Shida Night Market (师大夜市) located at Taipower Building subway station exit 3. Walk for about 5-10 mins before reaching the night market. Shida is a place near 2 universities so expect a younger, hippier crowd and fashionable clothing stores.  It's not like the typical night market like Shilin and Raohe but instead it is made up of cluster of alleys and lanes full of shops, boutiques, cafe and restaurant. It's quite a nice place to shop but price from some shops/boutiques can be rocket high.
