Bangkok Day 3

3rd day of our Bangkok Trip. It's shopping and just shopping at Platinum Mall. The mall is just beside our hotel. So convenient as we can shop till we drop and then walk back to put our stuff. This is the best place to shop. Everything also so cheap especially if we buy more and they will quote us wholesale price. Anyway I think it's quite weird. 1 dress may cost 300 baht but if we buy 2, they will quote us wholesale price at 200 baht a piece. 2 piece = wholesale?

Kennie is the big winner in buying, followed by Veona, then me and lastly Videl. Kennie and Veona can really buy and buy. They will always come out of the shop looking happy with their purchase. Videl and I will help to recce the rest of the shops in front and tell them if there are pretty clothes. But poor Videl, she dun seems to have any interest in the clothes. She will only buy if we force her to buy.

Mobile changing room. Changing clothes in a sarong.
Went searching for our favourite Wanton Mee at Pratunam but it was replaced by Shibuya 19, a shopping complex. Feeling disappointed that the stall is gone, we went to Platinum Food Court for our lunch. The food at the Food Court is also very nice, they offer a wide range of Thai food at affordable price.

Thai Kway Chap. Love their pig blood.

Dinner at Tang Jai Yoo at Yaowarat (Bangkok Chinatown). Took the train to Hua Lamphong station and walked to Yaowarat with the pre-printed map from Google map. Actually it's cheaper to take a taxi to most places in Bangkok as compared to taking a train but we choose to take a train to beat the jam.

Tang Jai Yoo is a Teochew Chinese Restaurant that are famous for their roast suckling pig and shark fin. But din get to order the roast pig as it's too much for us.

Oyster Egg
Yummy. Sharkfin
Sea cucumber
Fried vege
Goose web
Salted black pepper prawn
Steam flower crab
Complimentary dessert. Fried yam coated with sugar.
Ended off with complimentary Chinese gongfu tea.

Total bill cost us 3210 baht. A bit heart pain.

Poor little piggy.
Night view of Yaowarat

At Lee Zhen Xiang to buy some local products for colleagues and friends. Their flagship store is right her at Yaowarat.

Then we took the Tuk Tuk to Saphan Phut (Memorial Bridge) Night Market for 70 Baht. The place is deserted. No sign of Night Market and the driver didnt noe what we are talking about. He dropped us at a market with lots of stalls selling flowers for prayer. Walked for quite a while but couldnt find the Night market. No clothes, no food. Only flowers and more flowers. In the end, we asked a cop and was told that the night market is closed on Mon. OMG. What a waste of time. Took a Tuk Tuk back to Central World as the kids love theTuk Tuk. Was quoted 250 baht initially but managed to reduce it to 220 baht. Still veryex but was too tired to haggle further.

At the flower marker
Supper in our hotel. Tom Yam Instant Noodle.
