Qing Ming Jie & Farewell Dinner with Ken

It's Qin Ming Jie again, a time to pay respect to our ancestors. Dad was not back from HK so we didn't go to pay respect to my paternal Grandfather. Mum already went to pay respect to Grandfather and Grandmother on Fri but we couldn't join them as we were at KL. So as usual, we only went to pay our respect to Kennie's paternal Grandfather.

Had BF with Granny and Karin at Toast Box Tiong Bahru Plaza before going down.

Usual stuff there. Set up the table and arrange the Special lunch for him. Cleaning up the tombstone, offering him joss stick and burning incense paper.

Farewell dinner with Ken as he will be going to Hangzhou for at least 2 years. My favourite food, steamboat plus laksa = steamboat laksa at San Laksa Steamboat Seafood Restaurant at 404 Telok Blangah Road. It's an ala carte style steamboat where you are given the menu and a piece of printed order chit and you tick what you want. There's not like a big huge selection, but it's good enough to give you a good varieties. Felt it's a bit ex, around $3-$10 per plate depending on what we ordered. The laksa gravy is thick, fragrant and very addictive. But I can say it's really very unhealthy eating large quantity of seafood and meat and drinking the coconut rich laksa gravy. But nevermind lah, once in a while only. The bill come up to around $300 for 12 of us.

The outside of the restaurant may look more like a coffeeshop but the deco inside looks quite grand. A bit like some ballroom or karaoke lounge.

Cam whoring while waiting for them

The star of the night, Mr Ken
