We had the privilege to visit Sultan Shoal, a lighthouse (built in 1895) located in the Western Anchorage of Singapore. Think the public will not have the opportunity to visit there unless you have friends working in PSA and have booked the staff chalet. Sultan Shoal is so small that we can tour the whole place within 5 minutes. There are only 2 chalets (3 bedrooms each), a man made salt water lagoon and a lighthouse tower.

We have to take a launch from West Coast Pier and the journey took around 40 mins. We are able to have a close look of Jurong Island when our launch passed by but there's nothing fanciful, just oil refinery stuff. We are away from civilisation as there's only 2 timing for the launch to ferry people to & fro West Coast Pier and Sultan Shoal. Each trip can only take 12 people. So you can imagine how people can be at that Island at 1 time.

There's not much activites you can do there. Can eat, swim, fish, play mahjong, enjoy the sea breeze, sun tan or laze around. It's a nice experience to be away from the hassle and bussle of city life. its a splendid place in my opinion. But too bad we did not stay for the night as everyone is working tmr so we checked out at around 4+ and went back to mainland. I would love to stay overnight if I have a chance.

Lagoon for us to swimming. Water level depend on high or low tide

Our lunch. Some simple homecooked food. A bit disappointed though cause I'm expecting a big feast. Keke. But our new friend is quite a good cook. Though simple but it's delicious

The kids picking up water snail from the lagoon
Do I look like some bollywood star? Hiding behing coconut tree and singing.

Our lunch at Formosa Delights at West Coast Plaza. Restaurant food but food court price, No Service Charge but with GST. The portion is also very huge and the food is yummilicious.

Stew Beef Boodle. Generous serving of beef. Only $6

Hot & Sour Noodle. Ingredient is generous. $5

Kennie's recommendation. Green Onion Pancake. $3.80

Fried Dumpling. $3.50

Kennie's favourite bubble milk tea. Cheap & nice. Only $1. She's addicted to it and will drink it almost every day. Heard it's very fattening. No wonder she looks so f_t now. haha

Sian. School will be reopening tmr and we will be back to work.
