Our weekend run at Jurong Lake Park. It would be a nice place to run if not for the scorching sun. We were there at 9+ and the sun is already shining at our butt. Sweat! As it's too hot, we left after a while. Btw, talking about Chinese Garden, I love this place when I was young. A standard place for school excursion and family outing.

Cam whoring with our zodiac sign.

Veona with her zodiac sign (Tiger). But the tigers do not really look like one.

The nicest of the 12 zodiac sign. The PIG!!!

Videl with her zodiac sign (Dragon). Why is the Dragon hidden so far away? Couldn't even take a proper photo of it.

Stayed at home for the rest of the day. Kids busy doing their homework while we did some spring cleaning. Neverending spring cleaning. Why is the whole house so dirty?

Our home prep steamboat. Nice. All the nice stuff that we like to eat.

Yippee. The revised OPC scheme takes effect from today. We can drive the whole day on Sat and major eve of PH. The best part is I only need to pay $100+ for the conversion fee. Super worth it. Send the kids to school for their CCA and we went to Bukit Batok Nature Park for a run.

Our dinner at Seng Kitchen at Quality Road Food Center. It's at the industrial estate near Jurong Point. Came here specially for their curry fish head as I heard good review of it. It's the only stall that is open as this hawker centre actually caters for office crowd. The menu is quite limited but the food is nice. A bit ex though as the fish head curry cost $20+ and the portion is not very big.

Went shopping at 313. Siao liao. CNY is just round the corner and I haven't buy my new year clothes yet. In the end, only managed to buy 1 shirt.

Cam whoring at the shop that I bought my shirt.

Had dessert at Oriental Desserts. All the desserts look very nice and tempting but looks can be deceiving though. Average price of the dessert is around $5+. Quite expensive.

Sian. Back to office after 2 weeks of break. Luckily I cleared most of my work during my reservist or my BP would have shot up to 200 (exaggerating). I willl be taking over a new designation from next Mon. This move came too sudden for me. Only given 2 days to take over my new job and I will be still doing my present work for another 2 weeks. Think will be super siong for me. But looking at the brighter side, isn't that what I want. A dream come true indeed but maybe at the wrong time.

Our morning run at West Coast Park. Kennie commented that the air is not fresh as there are lots of trucks moving around that area. But I like this place cause there are many playgrounds, fitness facilities and most importantly, there's a Macdonald as we can have Mac for BF after our run.

After run, we had a short game of badminton.

Our effort is washed to the drain after our BF.
Usual stuff for the rest of the day. Kids doing their homework and we did some spring cleaning.

Watched Avatar 3D at ILLUMA today. It was full house at most of the cinema though it's quite an old show. Was quite surprised that it would still be full house but luckily managed to get the tickets. ILLUMA is 1 of the 2 cinemas under Filmgarde. Think I'm really mountain tortoise cause I have not heard of this name till I search for illuma cinema in the net today. The seats are quite spacious and comfortable and the sound system is superb.

Now back to the show, the 3D effect is cool though it could be better if the 3D glasses are more fitting. Seems like more and more movie will be in 3D soon as 3D production is getting cheaper and the ticket cost so much more than a normal ticket. The show is very exciting and at the same time touching. I was glad that I watched this show cause I have been telling myself what's so nice about these blue creatures. Everyone is saying that it's nice so why don't I watch it and review it myself.

Craving for steamboat so we had steamboat for dinner at 1 of the steamboat shops at Liang Seah Street. A random pick based on prices and whether business is good or not. This one is not so bad. $18 per pax without GST and service charge and comes with free flow of drinks but the downside is that the restaurant is very hot and stuffy.

It's the last day of my Reservist. A bit Yi Yi Bu She to part with my fellow NSmen as we have been talking cock for the past 2 weeks. I have become fitter these 2 weeks as I have been participating in the unit's run every alternate day. But life will not be the same when I go back to my office. Btw, heard that I may be transferred to another dept and it's definitely a good news to me. Is my luck changing to the good side this year? Seems like it is, as things have started to go more smoothly for me.

Serviced my car on Thurs. Total cost is $500. Super heart pain. Did the normal servcing plus tire rotation, change of spark plug and timing belt etc.

Healthy Lifestyle at Bukit Batok Nature Park. We have come up with this "All Parks Run" idea. We will try to go to different park every week for our Healthy Lifestyle activities. By going to different parks, we get to go to different places and not just stick to 1 park and thus not so boring. Bukit Batok Nature Park is quite nice place to jog, it's sheltered from the sun and the air is fresh. But the distant is a bit too short at only 3KM. There's also quite a no. of up and down slope and can be quite tiring.

A group of people doing workout. Shaking their backside. keke

They are doing the "Haha" workout. Heard that shouting HaHa Ha Ha will make one healthy

This park was developed on an abandoned quarry site in 1988.

Our home cooked Seafood Soup, with prawn, sliced fish, sotong, seaweed and bittergourd. Used Fish Bone and ikan bilis to boil the soup.

Went shopping at AMK Hub in the evening. Our dinner at Sweet Spring located at AMK Hub. It's a dessert shop that sells dessert and other side dishes and Dim Sum. Was attracted to this restaurant by their beancurd. It was served in a wooden bucket like the famous Hong Kong Sweet Dynasty's Beancurd only to find out that the taste is totally different. Hong Kong's version is so smooth and silky while this tasted more like a pudding. The beancurd was in a metal bowl and then put in the wooden bucket instead of just putting the beancurd in the wooden bucket without the metal bowl.

Hor Fun with Black Bean Fish. Nice but a bit to oily.

Glutinous Rice wrapped in Lotus Leave. The rice is nice but I dont like the filling
Custard Bun. Very tasty. Custard Bun lover will love this
Finally bought a new lens (EF-S 55-250mm) for my 500D at MS Color after comtemplating for quite some time.

Some shots taken with the new lens.
