Day 5 Bangkok Trip
Sob Sob. It's the last day in Bangkok. Had Bf in the hotel. Usual stuff again. So boring
After Bf, we went shopping. Just a small pool with no other facilities, not even a jacuzzi. So in the end, only the kids went in the water while we slacked at one corner. Veona had stomach upset and keep going to the toilet. Think it's caused by the food that we ate at the roadside stall yesterday.
We checked out at 12 sharp and deposited our luggages with the concierge. Was charged 120Bht for the phone call that I made. Called the taxi driver twice and each call cost 60Bht.
Was too lazy to walk to Central for lunch so we settled our lunch at Platinum Mall. Did some final shopping there. The feeling is totally different. We were only left with very little money so we had to think twice before buying anything.
Tea break at Black Canyon Coffee. There's Black Canyon Coffee in almost every part of Bangkok. There are already 3 in Platinum Mall. IMO, it's just average only and the food they have is quite limited.
Rained heavily and we had to rushed back to hotel. Was all wet when I reached the hotel. The driver was already at the lobby waiting for us but it's not the same person. He's also quite a helpful and friendly driver so we gave him some tips.
Reached airport and we checked-in. Some unpleasant encounters with the Custom Officers (once when we check-in, another at the VAT enquiry counter and the last one at the x-ray machine). We went to claim our VAT and was charged 100Bht for administration charges.
Dinner at Burger King. Each meal cost almost 10SGD. Super expensive lor. The time seems to past faster for the flight back. I didn't even visited the toilet or get up to do some stretching. I am having 2nd thought already, maybe budget airline isn't that bad afterall.
Ken came to fetch Karin. So nice of him. We reached home at around 1+ and we did some unpacking and slept around 3.
We truly enjoyed this trip, the food, the shopping and the time we spend together, though with some bad encounters with the airport staff, Tuk Tuk driver and the shop assistants. I bought quite a lot of stuff for this trip(4 bermudas, 3 jeans, 3 pants, 6 T-shirt, 3 polo tee, 2 leather shoes, 1 converse, 1 sports shoe, 2 underwear), the most comparing with previous trips. & of course, Kennie is the biggest winner as she bought the most.
