Was still on leave today after the Bangkok Trip. Back to our mundane life again. No more shopping and nice food. Got discount? Buy more got discount? Wholesale got cheap? Haha.

Veona complained that her stomach is very pain and she vomited when we were about to bring Videl for her eye checkup. In the end, Kennie brought Veona to see the GP while I brought Videl for her eyes checkup.

The checkup was quite fast today as it took less than 2 hr. Videl's eyesight has deteriorate. She will need to wear spectacle again. Anyway, I was quite skeptical on what the Specialist said as he didn't really seems to know his stuff well. This moment he said this and the next moment he said another thing . Anyway, will bring her to an optician to reconfirm the degree.

Sandwich from the machine. It's the first time I am trying it. Tasted quite nice.

Went home after the checkup. Kennie cooked porridge for us. Just plain porridge with can food. Too much good stuff these few days so it's time to take something simple.

Our simple lunch

Kids took a nap while we clean up the house and do the laundry. Visited mum and Mil to pass them the local goodies.

Went home early to rest. Need more energy to battle the Monday Blue tmr.
Day 5 Bangkok Trip

Sob Sob. It's the last day in Bangkok. Had Bf in the hotel. Usual stuff again. So boring

After Bf, we went shopping. Just a small pool with no other facilities, not even a jacuzzi. So in the end, only the kids went in the water while we slacked at one corner. Veona had stomach upset and keep going to the toilet. Think it's caused by the food that we ate at the roadside stall yesterday.

We checked out at 12 sharp and deposited our luggages with the concierge. Was charged 120Bht for the phone call that I made. Called the taxi driver twice and each call cost 60Bht.

Was too lazy to walk to Central for lunch so we settled our lunch at Platinum Mall. Did some final shopping there. The feeling is totally different. We were only left with very little money so we had to think twice before buying anything.
Mixed pork soup

Kwai Chap

Their Kway Chap is quite different from our version. It's harder and it's curl up

A bowl of pig blood. Kennie's favourite.

Banana crepes. Making in progress.

Banana crepes.

Tea break at Black Canyon Coffee. There's Black Canyon Coffee in almost every part of Bangkok. There are already 3 in Platinum Mall. IMO, it's just average only and the food they have is quite limited.

Rained heavily and we had to rushed back to hotel. Was all wet when I reached the hotel. The driver was already at the lobby waiting for us but it's not the same person. He's also quite a helpful and friendly driver so we gave him some tips.

Reached airport and we checked-in. Some unpleasant encounters with the Custom Officers (once when we check-in, another at the VAT enquiry counter and the last one at the x-ray machine). We went to claim our VAT and was charged 100Bht for administration charges.

Dinner at Burger King. Each meal cost almost 10SGD. Super expensive lor. The time seems to past faster for the flight back. I didn't even visited the toilet or get up to do some stretching. I am having 2nd thought already, maybe budget airline isn't that bad afterall.

Ken came to fetch Karin. So nice of him. We reached home at around 1+ and we did some unpacking and slept around 3.

We truly enjoyed this trip, the food, the shopping and the time we spend together, though with some bad encounters with the airport staff, Tuk Tuk driver and the shop assistants. I bought quite a lot of stuff for this trip(4 bermudas, 3 jeans, 3 pants, 6 T-shirt, 3 polo tee, 2 leather shoes, 1 converse, 1 sports shoe, 2 underwear), the most comparing with previous trips. & of course, Kennie is the biggest winner as she bought the most.

Day 4 Bangkok Trip

We didn't take the breakfast at the hotel as we were quite sick of taking the same food for the past 2 days. We went to the Wanton Mee stall and it was not opened. It will only be opened at 11am. Our 3rd times here and we didn't even get the chance to eat it. Soo Mee and Ah Hock will be returning to Sg today so we went our separate way.

We went to Indra mall which is just beside Baiyoke for Macdonald BF. A bit stupid to eat Mac in other countries right? But they have pork patty which we don't have in Sg. Anyway it tasted almost like our chicken patty.

After BF, we shopped around Indra mall and Pratunam center. Bought quite a lot of things there. Lunch at the Wanton Mee stall and we finally got the chance to eat it. The standard seems to have dropped. It's not as tasty as before, maybe because we had 2 bowls each (we had the dry and the soup version) and it makes us very full.

Kennie's mouth full of food as she simply loves to eat their wanton mee

Went back to hotel to do some packing and we took the free shuttle bus to Zen. We are going to Isetan and I thought the bus is bringing us there. In the end, we had to walk back to Isetan from Zen & the bus ride to Zen took around 30 mins thanks to the jam.

Kennie shopped for Bikini at Isetan. Other bikini and lingerie, there's nothing much to buy there as the price is at a higher side. There's quite a lot of restaurants at Central World and Zen, and it took us sometime to decide what to eat.

Wanted to take a Tuk Tuk to Suan Luan but was quoted 150 bht. So ended taking the BTS and transfer to Lumpini station. There's nothing much at Suan Luan and the place is still as stuffy as ever. The reason why we visited Suan Luan is we heard that it's going to be tear down by end of this year so we must go there before it's tear down.

MRT station. It's different from their BTS

It's almost the same as our Ez link card but instead of using the card, they use a coin

We were too shack out so all of us squat down

Took a Tuk Tuk back to Chit Lom station and the fare costed 100bht. Though it's quite ex but it's still much cheaper then taking the MRT and BTS. Shopped at the night market opposite Central World again and Veona & Videl did their manicure there. Cost around 8o to 100 bht.

Had supper beside Isetan. There's this bbq fish stall that's quite interesting. Actually we tried that in our previous trip and it's not very nice. Tried it again as I wanted to take photo. Hehe. Anyway the food sucks.

Singha Beer, their local beer

Went back hotel and Kennie started packing while I dozed off. Packing is not my expertise as I will just throw everything inside without placing it nicely.
