Took a bus to Orchard as we will spending the whole day there. Parking will cause a bomb if we were to park there the whole day & must also get use to life without a car. Our car will be scrapped in 2 years time. Dont think we can afford a new car with the increasing COE and the new loan policy. Sigh.

Shopping and watched Gravity. A nice show and Sandra Bullock's acting skill is top notch.

Lunch at Food Republic. Disappointing. Prawns are not fresh and the bee hoon is too hard.
Dinner at Hai Di Lao Hot Pot 海底捞火锅 at Clarke Quay. The service is really very good. They have a waiting area where the customers are served drinks, fruits, popcorn and there are board games for customers to kill time. They even have manicure service for the ladies. We didnt get to play the board games and enjoy the manicure service as we were early and seats were available.
At the waiting area.

Ipad ordering system.

Their concept and menu is a very similar to Jpot but they charge $4 per pax for the self-service condiments counter while Jpot is complimentary. Drinks is $3 per pax. They have herbal tea, plum juice and soya bean but we still prefer the luo han guo in Jpot. Food is fresh and portion is quite reasonable. Overall the experience is good and we will definitely be back for more.

The Finale. Handmade noodles performance by the noodle master. He came up to our table and started performing his 'noodle dance', flowing with grace as he stretched and twirled the dough into noodles. The performance was entertaining and the noodles is surprisingly delicious.

Nice night view of Clarke Quay.

Homemade Yam Cake by Sis. Very nice. It actually brought back sweet memory of our childhood. Sis learnt to make the yam cake during her Home Econ lesson and she cooked it for Mum and I, with Mum helping her and me as a Calefare.

Happy Bday Kennie

Happy Bday Dear Dear. HappySweet XXth bday. Woman's age is a secret especially when they become more mature. Keke.  Have a blessed Bday and wish that she will be healthy and happy always.

Usual stuff that I will do on her Bday. Went marketing in the morning and prepared a bowl of Bday Mee Sua for her.

Yummy. Mee Sua with Kidney, quail eggs, sliced fish and broccoli.

Look at her Tam Chiak Face. Lol

Trying out her Bday present (ice blender). Homemade avocado milkshake with gula melaka, strawberry banana smoothie and  yakult green apple orange smoothie. Thumbs up.

交杯酒 with the Bday gal.
Bday presents from her Bao Beis (Mil, Ray and our 2 monsters)

Panties from VS. Wolf whistle.Only collected at Sing Post on 19 Oct
Dinner at D'Kranji restaurant at Neo Tiew Lane. A very ulu part of Singapore.
Their speciality - Lala Bee Hoon. Nice but find it very ex as the portion is very small

Their specialty no. 2. Bucket prawn or whatever they call it. Nothing special. Tasted more like steam prawn
A nice place to dine if you wan to be away from the crowded and busy part of Singapore. But watch out for mosquitoes. Not a problem for us as we were seated in the aircon area. They only have 4 or 5 tables with aircon.
