Took a bus to Orchard as we will spending the whole day there. Parking will cause a bomb if we were to park there the whole day & must also get use to life without a car. Our car will be scrapped in 2 years time. Dont think we can afford a new car with the increasing COE and the new loan policy. Sigh.

Shopping and watched Gravity. A nice show and Sandra Bullock's acting skill is top notch.

Lunch at Food Republic. Disappointing. Prawns are not fresh and the bee hoon is too hard.
Dinner at Hai Di Lao Hot Pot 海底捞火锅 at Clarke Quay. The service is really very good. They have a waiting area where the customers are served drinks, fruits, popcorn and there are board games for customers to kill time. They even have manicure service for the ladies. We didnt get to play the board games and enjoy the manicure service as we were early and seats were available.
At the waiting area.

Ipad ordering system.

Their concept and menu is a very similar to Jpot but they charge $4 per pax for the self-service condiments counter while Jpot is complimentary. Drinks is $3 per pax. They have herbal tea, plum juice and soya bean but we still prefer the luo han guo in Jpot. Food is fresh and portion is quite reasonable. Overall the experience is good and we will definitely be back for more.

The Finale. Handmade noodles performance by the noodle master. He came up to our table and started performing his 'noodle dance', flowing with grace as he stretched and twirled the dough into noodles. The performance was entertaining and the noodles is surprisingly delicious.

Nice night view of Clarke Quay.
