It's Good Fri and we visited Southern Ridges. Actually wanted to cancel this outing as the wound has not closed yet and it's still bleeding. Was worried that it will get worse when driving but I still pressed on as I didn't want to dampen the mood of the kids and to "fly kite".

This time, we started from Marang Trail which starts from Marang Road, just behind the Harbourfront MRT Station. Got lost initially cause we couldn't find the entrance of the trail. Walked to some private estate and it came to a deadline. Finally managed to find the entrance. Ventilation of that place is quite bad and we were sweating profusely in no time. We walked to the cable car station at the Jewel Box on Mount Faber and U-turned at the Henderson wave. Wanted to carry on walking but Cindy and her family have to go sweep tomb. Anyway, it will take the whole day to complete the whole Southern Ridges with that speed cause Kennie and Cindy were lagging behind. Gossiping and walking like a tortoise. Maybe one of these days, I should go alone.

A dead snake on the road

Had dinner at Sis's house. It's the first time she cooked Chinese cuisine for us. Using a cooked book to guide her to cook the vege and the soup. The rest of the dishes were from the hawker.

Went for our dept's cohesion at Ten Dollars Family KTV Club at Smith Street today. Was tasked to organise this cohesion for my dept so thought of this place which is cheap and good. $10 nett for 5 hours of singing which includes free flow of soft drinks and complimentary "shark fin". Didn't really sing much cause I was not really a good singer and there are so many hidden talents among my colleagues, don't want to disgrace myself in front of them. Spent most of the time in the non-chinese room and sang the most there. Cause they don't really know what I'm singing even if I sang the wrong lyrics or out of tune :)

Belated Bday treat from Sharon at Tom Ton@Central, another Ramen restaurant from the owner of Tampopo Liang Court. Their Specialty is the Berkshire (or 'Black pig') Tonkatsu. The Berkshire is well known for their fragrant and it's more tender as compared to normal meat but I personally felt that it tasted almost the same as a normal one. & it's not cheap, a small piece of Tontatsu cost around $20. As for the Ramen, I would think the original Tampopo tasted much better. Talking about it, I think it's time to pay them a visit.

This is something new, at least for me. We need to grind the sesame using that thing shown in the photo, then pour in some sauce and we have a sesame sauce dip for our food.

Kids went for their piano while we went JP. Managed to get some good deal for wine. Was all ready to enjoy the wine when I cut my hand while handling the wine glass. The wine glass just cracked on my hand and my hand was cut by the shattered glass. It was quite a deep cut and I can see the skin peeling off. I should have gone to see a doctor to either wash the wound or to stitch the wound. But as usual, I have phobia in seeing doc and thus didn't go. Was hoping that the wound would dry up after a while. Though the blood keep flowing out but it's at a much slower rate as compared to earlier.

Kennie went back office to OT while I revised their schoolwork with the kids.  I'm officially the Tuition teacher for Veona as I had just cancelled her tuition. Tuition teacher has found a permanent job and thus the timing is not so flexible already.  Hope she will be able to cope without tuition and will be able to take my shouting and screaming.

Cam whoring in Kennie's office cause they are wearing their new T-Shirt. Miss Giggles for Videl and Miss Sunshine for Veona.  Actually wanted to buy Miss Chatterbox(cause she's really a chatterbox) for Veona but she didn't want.

Went shopping at IKEA.  It's not so crowded ever since Tampines IKEA was opened. Dinner at their cafe.  Love their food cause it's not only nice but also very affordable.
Poached Salmon
Swedish Meatball with potatoes.  It actually come with some strawberry jam. Very weird combination IMO.
Nice fried chicken wings but it's too oily

Our lunch.

Homecooked Laksa using the Prima Taste Laksa paste. Very delicious. Tasted just like the Laksa from some famous Laksa stall but it will be more complete with cockles.

Visited New Water Plant for Veona's science project. It's some project regarding water and she will be awarded the Water Ambassador badge if she completed 20 stars. After visiting the New Water, she will be able to explain how the dirty water is treated to become New Water and this will earn her 4 stars.

Conducted Tour. The staff giving us a brief on how dirty water is treated to become New Water

Went shopping at Bugis Junction and visited Miau Ling at Gleneagle Hospital. She has just given birth but the sad part is, the baby is still in ICU. There's some bruises on his forehead caused by the suction equipment that was used during delivery. Just hope that the baby will be safe and sound.

Attended the Effective Trainer Course today. This course is actually for a group of Soon to be Trainer for a new program in our Co. I was the "lucky" one to be appointed to be one of the Trainers. In order for us to execute our duty as a Trainer, we must attend a series of courses to equip us with the necessary skill and this Effective Trainer Course is one of them. Basically this course teach us how to handle nasty Trainees, presentation skills, etc etc. Hate this type of course cause the Trainer will actually made us present in front of the rest of the trainees. & worse, they actually filmed us when we are making the presentation. It's like some S'pore Idol audition.

Went to Veona's school for the meet the teacher session. The DISC assessment result for Veona was given to us. The P5 pupils had earlier done a DISC assessment in Term 1 and the school had invited the DISC consultant to elaborate further on the assessment. DISC is a model of human behavior that helps people understand “why they do what they do.” The dimensions of Dominance, influencing, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness make up the DISC model and interact with other factors to describe human behavior.

Veona is more on the high "I" scores. People with High "I" scores influence others through talking and activity and tend to be emotional. They are described as convincing, magnetic, political, enthusiastic, persuasive, warm, demonstrative, trusting, and optimistic. The consultant also taught us on how to handle kids with different DISC characters. The session last till 9, can't really absorb much cause hungry hungry.
