We had our office's cohesion today. Quite a simple cohesion. Lunch at CDAN, farewell gifts to colleagues leaving us, birthday celebration and also bowling competition. Food was both cheap and good. $128 for a table of 10.

Birthday celebration at Grace's house. It's her younger daughter's 1 year old birthday.

The birthday girl is so cute and adorable, and she's very sociable. We were passing her around like a baton and she didn't even cry but on the contrary, she seems to enjoy it.

The kids were happily playing with the rest of the kids, running everywhere. Kennie busy gossiping while I was busy staring at the TV.

Still the same stuff this week. Spring Cleaning and coaching the kids in their school work.

Looking forward to our Australia trip. It's really going to happen this time. Previously keep talking about going to Japan but now ended going to Australia. Though the economy is really very bad now but it's really the best time to go now. With cheap tickets and weaken Aussie dollars, so we just chong for it. Will be going from 14 Mar to 21 Mar. Haven't decided the hotel/apartment yet. Gold Coast is a place flooded with hotels and apartments and I didn't really know which are the cheap and good one. Guess have to check out the net for reviews. Will be going to Movie World, Sea World, Wild and Wet, Dream World, Surfers Paradise, some shopping at Pacific fair and more. The thought of it makes me very excited. It's only less than 2 months.

Dinner at Waffletown - Balmoral Plaza. The only one and only Waffletown in Singapore. When we were young, my Mum will occasionally bring us to Bukit Timah Plaza for their waffle and fried chicken. We were already very contented and happy if we had that for lunch or dinner.

Anyway, the fried chicken is definitely better than KFC, crispy and lesser fats.

Videl's favourite. Fried Chicken Skin. But we will just let her eat a bit only

See she's so happy. Putting the whole piece of skin inside her mouth

Was on leave today to go shopping with Kennie. Doing some last minute shopping for new year but actually nothing much to buy, just wanted to get out of my boring office.

Lunch at Amoy Street. Tried the famous Lor Mee but just felt that it's not up to standard. Maybe because they don't provide sambal chili, how could Lor Mee goes without chili? The funny part was Kennie can't seems to get out of Tanjong Pagar. Even though she's on leave, we will go to Tanjong Pagar for breakfast or lunch.

SQ is having a promotion to Brisbane now. About $2900 for 4 of us. That's around $1000 cheaper. Was quite tempted with the promotion and also because of weaker Aussie dollars. Went to Chinatown to check out the price for the package tour to see if it's more worthwhile to go for free & easy or package tour. Super Ex lor. Cost around $6k just for a 6D4N package and will only be visiting 2 worlds and only include a few meals. It's definitely cheaper for F&E.

Nothing much for today. Busy teaching the kids in their homework and doing more spring cleaning.

Our BF at Jurong East Food Centre at Blk 347. This time we tried the other Bak Kut Teh stall, the stall that we missed out previously as the stall owners were very yaya. Nothing fantastic, Joo Siah Bak Kut Teh situated in the same Food Centre tasted much better.

Penang Laksa - The spiciness and sourness of the gravy is just nice.

Laksa - think just average ba

Our Lunch - Home cooked food by the famous Chef, Raymond.

Fried Chili Prawns

Steamed Fish with garli

Stir Fried Vege. I like this type of vege cause it's for lazy people like me. Don't even need to cut it, just throw the whole vege into the pot and fried it.

Our lunch at NYNY. The portion is quite huge. Only ordered a seafood platter for 2 and a roast chicken. So full that we had to cancel our dessert. The food is much better then the previous time we had at Ang Mo Kio Hub and the service was good except for a black sheep. Almost dropped a knife onto Videl and didn't even bother to apologise.

Went window shopping at Chinatown to absorb the CNY atmosphere. Place was crowded with people. Actually kids wanted to stay at Karin's house and didn't want to join us but I forced them to join us. It's because of them that I wanted to go to Chinatown. Wanted them to learn more about our Chinese culture. Anyway, there's nothing much there. Basically selling the same things like Taiwan Mochi, different types of cookies and sweets. All boring stuff.

Who is this Ah Pek? Why is he in the photo?

Ice stick. $1 for a stick. Chatuchak only sells 10 bahts for a stick. Really chop carrot.

So crowded!

Famous Taiwan Mochi. The stalls are quite generous in letting people try.

Cheap Cheap Cookies.

Moo - Year of the Ox

Melon Seeds - the kids favourite.

Gong Xi Gong Xi

Had dessert at Wei Xiang Yuan after a long walk.

Dinner at a coffee shop beside the Chinatown market opposite Maxwell Market. This stall is famous for their fish head. Fried Fish Head, Fish Head Soup and Fried Fish Head Bee Hoon. It's very tasty but it's quite ex, $10 for a small portion just enough for 2 pax and the presentation of the food looks very ugly.
