The MI result is finally out and my increment is just a mere $xx. I'm thoroughly disappointed. Had a long chat with my CEO and I could see that he's making some effort to comfort me. But what's the use? We have contributed much last year but was not rewarded for it. Aunty will be receiving the award as we topped the audit check and I'm supposed to be the one receiving it. Another disappointment. I don't really have the mood to pen down what's on my mind now.

Didn't go anywhere today. Just brought the kids to Ms Teh's house for their piano lesson while we went JP to stock up some groceries. Went to Mil's house for lunch. Mil cooked Bee Hoon Kuey, Kevin prepared Avocado juice while Alison baked fish and cooked green bean soup. Veona there her temper on me as Kevin and his family are going swimming and we are not joining them. Think we should bring the kids to participate more in activities such as swimming, blading and cycling.

Had lunch with Day at Ah Hwa Ba Kut Teh. Though he loves their BKT but the place is too hot to his liking. We send them to the airport after lunch and chatted a while before they boarded the plane. They are only back for a short trip and so we couldn't get the chance to bring them around S'pore. Witnessed an accident while we were on our way back. A motorcycle went crashing into the centre divider at ECP. It's lucky that the car in front of him braked on time or it would have ran over him. Hope he's not seriously injured.

Visited Granny and brought her for dinner. Will try to visit her and to bring to eat her favorite food more often. Hope she could get over the unhappiness soon. Had claypot rice at Geylang which is highly recommended by Karin. Something unhappy happened when Karen and Vencent turned up at Granny's house. Shall not go into
details.

Piano lesson was postponed to Sun as Ken and Karin are giving us a treat. A belated treat for me and also a thank you treat for all of us for helping out in the funeral. I'm such a Gluttonous pig cause I told Kennie to postpone the piano lesson when I heard that they are giving us a treat. The venue is at Jap restaurant at Link Hotel which is near Tiong Bahru Market. We had the ala carte buffet and it cost $30++ for each diner. The food is below average and the service is quite slow.

Alison fetched us to LCK Cemetery to witness the digging of Aunty's grave. Her ashes would be place together with Uncle at Mandai Cemetery. We were late and they have already completed digging. Heard from Karin and Karen that the condition of the coffin is quite bad and there's a pool of water surrounding the coffin. The shocking part is that the lower part of the body has not fully decomposed yet after almost a decade. We went for breakfast while they cremated her body at LCK Crematorium.
When re reached LCK Crematorium, the bones and ashes were ready for collection. We were told to pick a piece of bone each and place it in the urn as it would bring us good luck. The remaining bones/ashes were transferred by the contractor in the urn and he place the skull into the urn last as the skull is supposed to be on top which is just like our head.
Next we brought the urn to Mandai Crematorium and collected the bones/ashed of Uncle. We went through the same process of picking the bones etc. The urns were then brought to the niche and sealed.
Kennie went to work while I went home to do some housework and slack around.

Was on leave today and tmr. Reached the funeral at around 11 to help out. The weather was super hot today and so Jodie and Videl went up to Karin's house to do their school work. Went back to Mil's house to fetch Mil, Justin and Veona to the funeral as they have just finished their school.

The Cortege leaves for Manda Crematorium at around 5.45 pm. Was quite surprised that it's so late as the normal timing is around 12 pm.

Aunty and Boss gave me a treat at HK cafe at BP. The food is quite nice with some unique stuff like fried pumpkin and fired brinjal. Quite disappointed that I do not meet the criteria to crossover to the next pay scale. I'm always so unlucky, I have been getting the the above average ranking for the past 4 years and just when I was about to crossover to the next pay scale, my ranking dropped.
Went to Uncle's funeral as it's the last night. Granny was at the funeral too. She seems ok at first but she suddenly walked to the coffin and started crying very loudly. We were so worried that she will not be able to take the blow. Stayed at the wake till 1+ to accompany Karin. Like what the Pastor said, it's not the words that we need to say but the presence and support that we gave to them, and they will feel better.
