Day 6 - Tokyo/Hokkaido Trip

Bf at Hotel. Our stay does not include bf but I couldnt succumb to the temptation of the hotel bf so we paid for bf at our hotel this morning. I always love hotel bf when we go holiday. especially Japanese bf.

Visited Hokkaidō Shrine. Spotted a snowman before entering Hokkaidō Shrine and lots of snow. Time for some snowball war.

First, we had to rinse our hand and mouth at the small shelter before we enter the temple to cleanse ourselves. 

Drop a coin into the offerings box, bowed twice, clapped our hands twice, and then bowed one more time. Make a wish.

Lucky charm from Hokkaidō Shrine. We always like to buy lucky charm, for family members, closed friends and also for ourselves.

Omikuji 御神籤 - Divination by Lots. There is the English or Japanese version to choose from

If it's a negative one, we will need to tie it to the Omikuji stand.  The symbolic meaning is to leave the bad luck behind, whilst we can bring away the divination lot bearing good luck.

We had lunch at Curb Market. It's only 2 stations from Hokkaido Shrine to Curb Market (Maruyama koen to Nijuyonken  Station), & another 10 mins walk to Curb Market. Didnt really know which is the better restaurant so just settled for one that looked presentable. I think we cant go wrong at any of this restaurants here. The seafood will definitely be very fresh.

We left for Ishiya White Chocolate Factory. Their flagship product is the Shiroi Koibito cookie 白色恋人 (thin wafer thin butter cookies sandwiched with a layer of creamy white chocolate filling) which is one of the most famous Hokkaido souvenirs.

Shiroi Koibito Park (meaning white beloved ones, 白い恋人) is an entertainment zone where visitors can enjoy a variety of attraction, including observation of their Cookies production line, cookies making at the Cookie craft Studio, Ishiya’s original sweets at café, Chocolate Time Tunnel, World Chorus Theater, Shiroi Koibito Railway, Old-style Children’s Toy Box, Rose Garden, Sapporo Mechanical Clock Tower and etc.

Back to Kushidori (串鸟) for dinner. But this is another outlet which is walking distance from our hotel. But this outlet has a cover change. Cant rembr the exact amount.
