Day 2 - Tokyo/Hokkaido Trip

Bf at hotel lobby. Plus point for most Toyoko Inn across Jap is that they provide nice complimentary Japanese bf for all their guests. The Obasan helping out in the bf all looks so cheerful and eager to greet.the diners. Looking at them really brighten our day.

Checked out after bf and took the Keisei limited express from Nippori to Narita Airport. It took about 70mins and cost around 1000yen. That's why I mentioned that Haneda Airport is so much convenient as compared to Narita Airport. Nearer and cheaper.

Shopped at the Airport for snacks and for our favourite Toyko Banana.

Had Mac for lunch

Took Jetstar domestic flight to New Chitose Airport. It's one of the cheapest flight at 48880 yen ($585) for 4 pax. This is the first time we took domestic flight and was surprised at how smooth the whole flight was. I always thought domestic flight is fly by junior pilot and thus the flight may not be as smooth but  I was wrong. Oh btw, it only took 1.5 hour to fly from Nartia to New Chitose.

From New Chitose Airport to Sapporo Station via JR train. It took slightly more than 30mins and cost 1070 yen. Sapporo is snowing. Didnt expect that it will be snowing in Nov. We were like mountain tortoise as it's the first time that we experienced it. The first time we saw snow was at Lake Kawaguchi at Mt Fuji but the snowing had stopped. All the snow was pushed to a corner. But it's really snowing today. We took out our camera and started snapping away.

At Nakajimakoen Park. Just beside Nakajimakoen station which is 3 stations from Sapporo station. Our hotel, Best Western Sapporo Nakajima Koen is only 3 mins walk from the station.

We booked a triple room at Best Western Sapporo Nakajima Koen. Room rate per night is around $135 per night. Breakfast not included. The room exceeded our expectation. Clean, neat, spacious and affordable.

Our first meal at Sapporo. Nanda buffet 難陀 at Cyber City building. It is located in susukino area, or the night-life area of Sapporo.  Around 15 to 20 mins walk from our hotel. The pavement was very slippery after snowing. The experience is not really that fantastic. Dirty, slippery, wet and cold. Really worried that I will slip and injured my back. 

Nanda has one of the best seafood buffets in Sapporo with lot's of fresh crab and seafood. The cost is 3480 yen per person. But it's only limited to 90mins of dining time.  It's really too short for us. Need at least 3 hours to fully enjoy all the nice food. 

Walking direction from our hotel to Nanda. The public transport in Sapporo is very ex. Around 200yen for 1, 2 stations. We rather walk to save on transport fee.
