It's Mil's bday as well. Happy Bday Mil. Stay happy and healthy. Celebrated her bday at Chilli Padi Nonya Cafe located at Heng Mui Keng Terrace, which is inside NUS, next to the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies.
A no frills eat-all-you-can buffet costing below $20. The buffet spread was well laid out, and the decorations and accessories to decorate the spread was quite well done. They have most of the signature nonya dishes like ayam buah keluak, sayur lodeh, nonya chap chye, beef rendang, curry fish assam, achar, mee sian, laksa and quite a variety of nonya kueh. But I would say the food is not very fantastic but for the amount we paid for, it's actually quite value for money.
Kevin suggested visiting Haw Par Villa after lunch. Think most of us would have thought that the place has closed down for good but on the contrary, it's still opened and it's FOC. Only need to pay $5 for the parking fee and we can even drive our car up and park inside Haw Par Villa.
Those who are born in the eighties and earlier should be very familar with this place and should bring back fond memories. I love this place but think I have only visited it 2 or 3 times only as the entrance fee was quite ex then. My favourite attractions is the boat ride that drop from the top but it's no longer in operation and also the 18 levels of hell. oh btw, heard that this place is haunted.
Left after a while as Granny was tired and it's also going to rain. Will organise a trip here again soon as there's lots more to explore.
Our dinner at Toa Payoh Lor 7 FC. Very nice Nice Oyster Omelette. It's by far 1 of the nicest oyster omelette that we have eaten.
Kennie went to Toa Payoh Central to touch up (tattoo) her eye brow. It looks much better this time. Can't stand the shop assistant cause she's like those hardcore salesman that keep recommending their products. Keep asking Kennie to do this do that buy this buy that.
