Finally made up my mind to buy the Besta Digital Dictionary for the kids after considering for 2 weeks. They have been wasting a lot of time finding the meaning of both Chinese and English words in the dictionary. Even with the dictionary, they will ask me the meaning. With this digital dictionary, it's able to translate from English to Chinese and vice versa. There's also live voice human pronunciation, handwriting recognition using touched screen and many more functions like Built in Britannica Concise Encyclopaedia etc.

Another boring Sat. Kids went for GB then spend the whole afternoon studying.
Was supposed to go jogging at Jurong Sports Complex to train up Veona's NAPFA test but Veona suddenly told us that she's having a constipation and complained of stomach pain. So ended going to the Chinese medical hall to buy the medicine for constipation.
Sun
BF with Mum at Cafe Cartel IMM.
Bought 2 x Sony MP3 (2Gig) for the kids as bday presents. Was given discount as Uncle Huat is an employee of Sony.
Sat
Went to British Council near Tanglin Mall to enrol the English creative lesson for Veona. Sigh.. it's really very ex. Lesson will commence in Jul and it will be on Sun late morning. Couldn't get the earlier morning slots as the class is already full. Saw Don Siew there as he's there to pick up Jia Wei. Coincidentally, Jia Wei will also be in the same class as Veona. Must tell teacher to separate them or they might end up chit chatting.
Went to starhub building to buy a hp. Wanted to buy Blackberry 8820 intially but it was an old model and it's not that user friendly. In the end, I took the free Nokia E51 and sign up the corporate plan. They are giving a 20% discount on the subscription and also free caller ID and autoroam for a year.
Lunch at Mr Prata at Evans Road.

Kennie just bought a pink Samsung Pixon M8800, a 8 megapixel camera. Quite skeptical on this as I still don't believe a handphone can produce a 8 megapixel photo. If that is true, that would mean that those camera maker can close shop already. But anyway, beside the high megapixel of the camera function, it seems like a user friendly hp especially with the touched screen. Hey.... why is Kennie buying a Handphone when I should be the one buying it? Anyway, there's only 1 non camera hp from M1. Sian... so will KIV my plan to buy a new hp until there's better deal.

Our homecooked BF. Poached egg, omelette and hotdog from IKEA.
Karaoke session with family. Had not have enough of singing during my office's cohesion so booked a karaoke session today. Booking must be made at least 2 weeks in advance as it's always full. Think my singing has improved after 2 session of singings. Think I know how to use my diaphragm to sing already. Stronger voice and can complete the whole song. Maybe practice make perfect. We had an enjoyable time. Singing non stop for 5 hours but it seems like it's still not enough.
The complimentary sharkfin tasted so much better than previous times.

Dinner at Chinatown Market Food Centre. Sudden craving for Song Fishhead so come here for dinner. Too many stalls selling the same stuff and finally decided on this stall. Nice food and price is quite cheap.

Kids went for their CCA while we attended the Chinese exam briefing for P5. This briefing is about the new exam format for P5 and PSL. The teachers also teach us how to teach the kids to answer the comprehension and to do better composition. Quite a boring session. Can't really absorbed much & some kiasu parents, keep asking questions and questions.
Boring day again. Went back home to do their school work. Boring!!
Dinner at Xian De Lai Steamboat Buffet Restaurant at Cheong Chin Nam St (opposite Beauty World). The boss of this restaurant is actually my Kindergarten and Primary schoolmate. 1 of my best friends when I was in Primary school. Used to go to his house and vice versa, and we always went shopping together. Heard that he has just opened his 3rd restaurant in Geylang. The food tasted much better as compared to the previous time we had it at Liang Seah St. Not sure if they have improved or because this outlet has better QC.

Kennie was on leave today, no particular reason but just took leave to rest. We had BF at our favourite Ikan Billis Yong Tau Foo at Chinatown Market. Then I send her to Granny's house while I went to my HQ for an interview. The interview is to hear my view if I'm interested in a job offer in overseas Co. Of course I'm not interested . Can't imagine leaving my family in S'pore while I go overseas for a year or more.
The interview was a quick one and I joined Granny and Kennie for a chat at Redhill Market. Was on leave the rest of the day.
We had lunch at Raffles Place as I was craving for the soup that was sold there. Parking was super ex. $2 for every 30 mins. Serviced my car at Toh Guan Road. It was already overdue for 5k and anymore delay might cause my car to breakdown. The package which cost $226 includes the normal servicing stuff, change of spark plugs, cleaning of air con and changing of air con, and also include complimentary car wash. We stayed at their rest area watching Iron Man while waiting as the weather was really too hot for us to venture elsewhere.
Thinking of sending Veona to an After School Care as her result is getting worse and worse. There's a lot of simple things that she should know for her level but it seems like she has a hard time understanding them. So hoping that if she goes to an After School Care, there will be someone to guide her. We went to check out the After School near Mil's place. It cost $400 and they do not provide tuition service. They will just leave the kids to do their school work. sian...
Received a bad news from Agnew. He has just broke off with Jo. Sign.. things are so unpredictable. 8 years of relation and this happened.

Kennie and I went jogging at East Coast Park early in the morning. Nice weather, nice view and peaceful surrounding. Could have jogged longer but need to rush back to have BF with Granny and the kids.
Wanted to bring Granny to Tiong Poh Road for their raw fish porridge but it was not opened. So went to Tiong Bahru Market instead.
Shopping at IMM. Wanted to buy MP3 for the kids for their bday present. Don't know which model to buy as there are too many to choose from . Also wanted to buy a hp as I have got a $100 voucher for my bday present. Was actually thinking of canceling my M1 line and switch to Starhub but now I got this M1 voucher. At a dilemma now, to switch to Starhub and waste the voucher or to use the voucher to buy a phone that I don't like. Btw, the reason for switching provider is because Starhub has a non-camera blackberry handphone that I liked.

Spend the whole day teaching going through the school and tuition work with Veona. Thinking of putting her in an after school care but she doesn't want. Wanted to put her there as I was hoping that there will be someone to supervise her in her school work after school. will see her result this semester. It would mean another fixed expenditure if she's to go to a after school care.
Dinner with Mum at Jalan Besar Food centre. She's in a deep thought as we reached Jalan Besar. It has actually brought back some childhood memory for her as she stayed around this area when she was a kid. She's trying to figure out where's the exact location she stayed since it has been more than half a decade.
Kids stayed over at Karin's house tonight.

It's Good Fri and we visited Southern Ridges. Actually wanted to cancel this outing as the wound has not closed yet and it's still bleeding. Was worried that it will get worse when driving but I still pressed on as I didn't want to dampen the mood of the kids and to "fly kite".
This time, we started from Marang Trail which starts from Marang Road, just behind the Harbourfront MRT Station. Got lost initially cause we couldn't find the entrance of the trail. Walked to some private estate and it came to a deadline. Finally managed to find the entrance. Ventilation of that place is quite bad and we were sweating profusely in no time. We walked to the cable car station at the Jewel Box on Mount Faber and U-turned at the Henderson wave. Wanted to carry on walking but Cindy and her family have to go sweep tomb. Anyway, it will take the whole day to complete the whole Southern Ridges with that speed cause Kennie and Cindy were lagging behind. Gossiping and walking like a tortoise. Maybe one of these days, I should go alone.
Had dinner at Sis's house. It's the first time she cooked Chinese cuisine for us. Using a cooked book to guide her to cook the vege and the soup. The rest of the dishes were from the hawker.
