Brought the kids to Lim Chu Kang as I heard that there's a cow farm there. Thought it will be the same like the Hay Dairy Goat farm where we can feed the goats and buy the goat milk. But it's quite disappointing as the VISHNU Cow Farm (No 6 Lim Chu Kang Lane 8) look so rundown and we are not allowed to go to the area where the cows are. The owner/assistant was also very unfriendly. Since we were there, we bought a bottle of fresh milk. Anyway nothing special about their milk.
Craving for crab so went to Evergreen(Huat Kee) Enterprise (70 Lim Chu Kang Lane 6F) to buy crabs. It's actually a wholesale Co. for crabs but it also entertain walk in customers. Bought 2 crabs for $60+ ($27 per kg). A bit expensive but it's definitely worth it as the crabs are really very fresh.
Nothing much for the rest of the day.

Mil taught us how to make Prawn Noodle today. Actually it's quite easy. Peel the prawn and fried the prawn shell till it's fragrant and crispy and add in some rock sugar . Put in the prawn shell into the a pot of water and add in pork rib. Fried a lot of shallot and add in the shallot into the pot of prawn soup. Boil the soup for an hour and add in light soya sauce. Yummy. The pot of prawn soup is ready. Cook the noodle and add in the ingredients like prawn, fish cake, quail eggs, kang kong, bean sprout and pork rib. Sound so easy right? But actually there's a ot of work.
We went to Horsecity (100 Turf Club Rd, just beside Turf City) in the afternoon. The main attractions here are actually Pony rides and pony feeding. There's also a European Bistro Bar and a gourmet shop (Picotin) that serves European Cusine. Seems like a nice place for a Sun Brunch and for a relaxing dinner.
Dinner with Karin at Bosses Vivo City, a bday treat for her. I like the name of this Restaurant cause the chinese name is 黑社会 (Triad). Look quite classy and think most of the customers will get lost in the their toilets. A bit ex though and serving for some of the dishes are quite pathetic. Anyway, had a very bad experience here which result in canceling the soup and due to the incident, we were given complimentary durian mochi.
Pig Stomach Soup with barley and ginko. Not the usual pig stomach soup that we alway had. Only drank a bit before it's taken away.

Went for a job interview on Wed and I got the job. Yippee.. time for a celebration? Actually nothing much to be happy about cause it's just a parallel move with no pay increment but with heavier responsibilities. So why do I still want a switch? Cause I'm in my job for more then 12 years and it's time to move to a new environment. There's also not much security in my job and I might be axed sooner or later. Anyway, I don't really like my new office. Too messy and too many people. & I foresee that it's going to be a market as there are too many women.

A day at Kennie's office again cause she needs to rush off her assignment. BF at Lavender coffee shop before going to her office. Veona has been craving for their pancake for ages and has been pestering me to bring her there.
This is the pancake that Veona loves. Pancake with Ham and cheese.

Some National Education to the Kids and Kennie. Talking about the Japanese Occupation and the battle fought at Kent Ridge.

Usual stuff at Kennie's office so shall not elaborate much.
Wanted to go Katong for Katong Laksa but went holan again and ended at Geylang. So funny. When I wanted to go Geylang, I holan but when I don't want to go there I was there. We patronised Yong He Soya Bean Dough Fritters. They are supposed to be famous for their soyabean drink and beancurd but I felt it's not as good as Rochor Beancurd. The rest of the food that we ordered are quite nice though.

The day is still young so we went to Kent Ridge Park . I always feel that the journey to Kent Ridge Park is exciting. The road is with many turns and curves and I had to slow down my car to avoid skidding. Think this place is called the 99 curve and is famous for motor racing. Kent Ridge Park is also link to the southern ridges but we only managed to explore part of it today, we didn't even go to Reflection at Bukit Chandu.
