Was on MC on Tues due to shoulder and neck pain which also cause pain on my lower head. The problem has persisted for quite sometime and I have always think lightly of it. Thought it's due to the frequent smsing and typing. Doc advised me to go for an X Ray to check if it's due to Degenerative Disc Disease. Sian.. Just recovered from lower back problem and I kana this now. Anyway, don't think I will be going for the X Ray.

US insurance giant AIG is on the verge of bankruptcy all thanks to the financial crisis and Worried Singaporeans rush to cancel AIA policies. Kennie and I were worried that AIA might bankrupt too as all our policies are from AIA. Our hard earn money will be gone if it really happened. If AIA is really going to bankrupt, it would already be too late for us to cancel the policies so we just leave it status quo. It's lucky that US Government steps in again and bails out AIG with $85B.

With the economic crisis and high cost of living due to high inflation rates, think it's really more advisable to be prudent in our spending.

It's Mooncake festival today. Had Dim Sum with Mum at Yan Palace Upper Cross St. The Dim Sum is considerable one of the better one that we have tried so far and the price are quite affordable. Definitely will be back for more Dim Sum soon.













We went our separate way after BF. As usual, Mum went shopping at Chinatown, her favourite hangout place. Kennie went back office to work. I helped her a bit but couldn't contribute much.

Dinner at Eblackboard II at Clementi Ave 3. It's my 2nd visit this week but the food is quite horrible today. Don't think will be going back in the near future.

Spaghetti Vongole, there's so much sand in the claim.

Chicken Cutlet, the chicken cutlet look like Nian Gao (New Year's cake) and it's super salty. The fries are too dry.

BB Mixed Sausages - the skin for the sausages are too thick. Need to remove the skin before we can eat.

How could Mooncake festival without Lantern and Mooncake? Of course we have all these at our finale... haha.. We went to our neighbourhood to carry lantern and to play firework. & of course to play fire. Actually I don't understand why everyone likes to play fire during Mooncake festival. Is it because we are given licence to play fire on this day?

William is back from Guangzhou for a business trip. Back on Fri and will be going back on Mon. Sigh.. such a short trip, don't even have much time to catch up with him. We had dinner at Alexandra Village. The kids had a fun time with him, keep pestering him to play with them.

After dinner, we went to Anchorpoint for dessert. That place has changed so much since our last visit. Look nicer and more cosy with quite a no. of restaurants and cafes. There's even a Disney cafe but heard that the food is just average but with expensive price tag.

The dessert is below average with rude Made in C waitress.


William bought them a dance dance revolution game and they were so excited that they keep pestering me to let them play when we reached home. The songs in the game sucks but it's quite hi-tech as we can plug in our ipod to play our own songs. It reminds us of the good old day when we used to play this game in our 1st Gen PS. Kennie was pregnant with Veona then.

Kids stayed overnight at Karin's house yesterday so we pigged longer this morning. Wanted to go Eblackboard II for lunch but I was too sotong. Didn't manage to find the place as I went to the wrong block. Should be Clementi Ave 3 Blk 431 and not 451. Ended having Thaksin Beef Noodle at Clementi Central. This stall is highly recommended by the net and indeed it leave up to its name. Found similar taste from the beef noodle that we ate in Bangkok and imo I felt that our version is much better.



Fetched the kids from the church and we went to the food festival at the convention hall. There were so many different types of local delight, food and titbits from other countries. Too bad, I left my camera in my car.

Celebrated Granny's bday at Plum Village Restaurant near Upp Thomson Road. They served authentic Hakka food but we felt that the food really tasted horrible. Granny wanted to celebrate her bday there (though she knows that the food sucks) as the surname of the boss is same as hers and is also a Hakka. Didn't really enjoy the dinner as firstly, the food sucks. Secondly, we have to pay for the non paying guests. Don't mind paying for our immediate family members but not for those who only turned up when there's free food.

Don't know what chicken is this. Hard and tastless.

Prawn with some wine sauce. Tasted quite funny.

Steam Pomfret. Average only.

Special Toufu. This is nice as the toufu is quite tender and fresh.

Bean Curd Stick Soup. Pathetic. The ingredients are too little and it's tasteless.

Longevity Noodle.

Authentic Hakka fried Abacus. The fried abacus is 1 quite nice with a rich yam taste in it.

Granny gave everyone a red packet. There's 6 $1 coins in every red packet. Don't know what it represent.
