Day of 1 Bangkok trip

The start of  our Bangkok trip. Woohoo. Eat & shop, shop & eat. Gonna be a fun getaway. 

We have to wake up super early as we will be taking the 7.15 am flight to BKK. We were kiasu as usual. Left home at around 3.30 am.and took a cab to Airport. Reached airport around 4am. Checked in and had bf at Coffee and Toast.

Touched down at around 0840hrs. Clearing of custom was quite fast. Took the Bangkok Airport Rail to Ratchaprapop which is around 1km away from the hotel that we will be staying. Seriously it's no joke pulling the bulky luggage along the crowded and uneven street. But to save money, Airport rail is the best option.

We will be staying at Centrepoint Pratunam. Though it's not really very accessible as compared to Novotel Platinum Mall but they have family room which most hotels do not have. Anyway it's not really that far, just two street away from the famous wanton mee and is beside Glow Hotel. We paid $1050 for 5 nights stay and breakfast is included.

Brunch at the famous SabX2 Wanton Mee at Soi 19. We have been eating here since early 2000 when they are not really that famous. Was quite disappointed with it. Serving was super small. I can finish it with 2 to 3 spoon full. It also lacked the tastiness that it used to have.

The receptionist was quite accommodating as she allowed us to check in at 1100 am instead of the normal check in timing.

Can see that the room is a bit old but it's still well maintained. This is the most important when we rate a hotel room. The bed sheet must be clean and the floor must not have a sticky feel and funny smell.   I would definitely recommend friends to this hotel as generally the staff here are very helpful and nice plus the hotel is very clean too! Most importantly, it is quite affordable and just a walking distance to Platinum Mall.

The start of our shopping adventure. We only shopped at Platinum Mall today as we wanted to check out the price before going other place to shop as the price at Platinum Mall is quite reasonable as compared to elsewhere.

Returned back to hotel early as Kennie was having a very bad headache. Dinner was Fillet O Fish from Mac. Look at our miserable looking face. No nice thai food. Only Fillet O Fish in the hotel room.

Having a very bad flu. Was on MC on Mon and Wed. On MC today. Siao liao. Will be flying off to BKK tmr. Fever had subsided but still having a very cough and hoarse voice.

Lazy to go out as I was still not feeling well. Did a bit of area cleaning (most were done by our little monsters) and Kennie baked Pandan cake. Visited Mum but quarreled with her over some Bak Kwa issue. She told me to leave and I left in a huff, Dinner at Taman Jurong. Went back to Mum's place as I felt bad. I shouldnt be so rude to her.

Woke up with a terrible sore throat. Sian. Sick but still have to work. Left at around 11+ as I was having fever.

Went home and slept the whole afternoon.  Dinner with Max, Nigel and Jesse at Dancing Crab. Though sick but I still meet them. Already fly them aeroplane last year due to back pain so I have to press on even though I was sick.

Woke up early to go to Energyone gym at Jurong SAFRA as we have complimentary coupon to the Gym . But was denied entry as the minimum age to enter is 16, Sigh. Can see that Videl was very disappointed as she has been pestering us to bring her to a Gym and she was so happy that she's finally going to one.

Bf at Subway and to an Orchid Farm at Sungei Tengah as Kennie wanted to get some plant to beautify her seashell aquarium..
