2nd week in my new office. Getting quite use to the noise pollution already and I'm adapting quite well to this new environment but kind of miss my old workplace. When my Company's bus drives pass my old workplace everyday, I will definitely look over to check if there's familiar faces. Think will find a time to go back to visit old friends.

Had my first cohesion event with my dept today and it's Minds Cafe again. There's this game called Rat-a-tat Cat that I like. This game is quite cool as we got to draw, swap players' cards and peek player's card using a special spectacle. The game continues until someone decides to end the game by declaring 'Rat-a-at Cat', signaling a final round to be played. The person with the lowest combines score of the cards win.

Went shopping after Minds Cafe and met Kennie for dinner. Wanted to go M Hotel for their steamboat buffet but they were fully book. So ended going to Vivo City. Was attracted to the Japanese grill shop and ended burning a big whole in my pocket. The shop name is Tajimaya Yakinku which has an interesting concept, the whole dining area is split into 2 different catergories. One side is the shabu shabu and the other was the charcoal grilled one. Craving for grilled stuff, we went to the charcoal grilled side. We took the $108 set meal which consisted of mostly wagyu beef. Oh man. It's the first time we tried wagyu beef and it's really heavenly. Wagyu beef is graded by a 12-point marbling-score scale. The highest grade, 12, indicates that the beef is 90% fat and 10% meat. Though it may contain a high percentage of fat, the fat is unsaturated and containts a high level of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Not really sure which grade it is but I personally felt that it's good enough already.

Overall, the experience is good but it's really too expensive. Maybe next time we should not order the set meal but go for ala carte instead. Service was good and prompt. The staff is always eager to clear the plates, top up water and change the wire mesh.

Anyway, the photos really do injustice to the food cause I'm using Kennie's camera Hp.

Bf at Song Fa Bak Kut Teh which is opposite Central. Not too bad but the price is at a higher side. $6.50 for a bowl but the good thing is, there's free flow of soup. But I still think the Bak Kut Teh at Ah Hwa still taste better. A relaxing weekend as we didn't really plan anything today. Slowly enjoying our breakfast and drinking Chinese tea. This is life.

The soup is very peppery which I like but the meat is super hard.

Kidney soup - I like the way they sliced the kidney.

Braised Beancurd skin - Can miss this.

Braised peanuts

Salted Vege - quite tasty. Better than Ah Hwa's.

Braised Pig Intestine - Can miss this too.

The name of the Chinese tea is Bu Zhi Xian. Quite fragrant but very expensive, $5 for a packet.

Veona went to church with Karin and we fetched Videl to her friend's house for a bday celebration while we went home to slack and watch drama series.

Dinner at Holland Village XO Fish Head Bee Hoon. Don't taste as good as before. Not as tasty as before as they added in too much rice wine and as a result, it became too bitter.

Kids went for their CCA in the morning. Videl was very happy as her excuse status is finally over. She can now run about and participate in physical activity. Got to waste money again as the kids will be going camping from 21 to 23 Nov. Need to buy a laundry list of things for camping.

Went to Ms Teh's house for their piano lessons. Piano fee will be increased from this mth. Sian. Everything is raising but not our pay.

We went to Tint Master to tint my car's window while the kids were having their piano lesson. Actually wanted to tint it super black but was worried that I might be stopped by ROV. So in the end only tinted a bit darker only.

To reward the kids for their good result, we brought them to Jurong Sports Complex for Sushi. It's only an appetizer treat today, will treat them to main course and dessert during the school holiday (what I meant is will bring them out for more more fun and nice food during the school holiday).

Visited Mum after dinner. Quite worried about her. Her skin condition is still not improving and she also complain that her eyes are very painful and blur. Sigh....

Felt so lost this week, a feeling that I have not had for more than a decade. I have reported to my new office on Mon and it's a culture shock to me. It's totally different from my previous office. My new office is messy and noisy. It's look more like a market than an office. Don't know if I'm able to cope with the increase of workload and my colleagues seems like those who take their own sweet time to do their work. Oh no. I don't want to work OT because of their inefficient.

Veona and Videl got back their exam results. Veona has improved tremendously as she got Band 1 for all her subjects but after including the results for SA 1 and the 2 CAs, she got Band 1 for all but band 2 for English. Videl's English dropped to Band 2 while her maths improved to Band 1. But overall her result is still above average.

It's rest week for them this week. No homework for them for the whole week, just play and play.

Visited Marina Barrage, Singapore's 15th reservoir and the first in the heart of the city. The Marina Barrage is part of a comprehensive flood control scheme to alleviate flooding in the low-lying areas in the city such as Chinatown, Boat Quay, Jalan Besar and Geylang.

During heavy rain, the series of nine crest gates at the dam will be activated to release excess storm water into the sea when the tide is low.

In the case of high tide, giant pumps which are capable of pumping an Olympics-size swimming pool per minute will drain excess storm water into the sea.

We made a mistake by coming here today. It's crowded with people as the end point for the Big Walk is at the Marina Barrage and there are also organised tours conducted. Anyway, we didn't manage to explore the whole place because of the crowd and the weather was super hot. The 7th Storey charcoal steamboat at Rochor will be moving to its new home at the Marina Barrage in December.

Ugly citizens pushing one another to get free recycle bag or whatever you call it.

Sudden craving for prata so I surfed the net and found MR. Prata which is located at Evan road just beside NIE. Overall quite satisfying and will definitely be coming back for more.

The Mee Goreng is quite delicious. It's not like those that I tried at coffee shop which is much sweeter as this version is much spicy.

We went to Soo Mee's house to celebrate Chen Xu's bday. Most of the guests are Soo Mee's colleagues. Shouldn't they invite Chen Xu's friend? Hehe. Jian Fu did all the cooking and it's quite tasty. Kennie even da bao back the curry. Think she has become very auntily cause only Aunty do this type of thing.

Our dinner at Taman Jurong FC.

This stall was actually recommended by Mil's neighbour. A good recommendation indeed as the Curry Fish Head is really very spicy and fresh. It's definitely worth waiting for 30 mins for the food to be served. Eating curry fish head should be eaten without high levels of etiquette. It will bring out the true taste of the curry when you slurp the curry a bit louder.
