Went to the newly opened Mega Japanese food emporium, Emporium Shokuhin at Marina Square. Extracted from Straitstime.com
The 34,000 sq ft space - about the size of 28 five-room Housing Board flats - features an 11,000 sq ft gourmet grocer section. It includes tanks filled with live seafood from Japan and Europe; a customised temperature- and humidity-controlled facility for aged beef; and a wide range of vegetables, fruits and condiments.
A small section is dedicated to air-flown produce from Ehime prefecture in north-western Shikoku, Japan, which Emporium Shokuhin's chief executive officer, Mr Lim Li-Wei, 40, is working closely with. This is the first time produce from the prefecture is being exported.
The rest of the emporium houses eight dining concepts, from a Japanese-style bakery to a seafood wine bar.
Spend the rest of the day hunting for Shirlyn's Bday present. Headache ah. We are not good at buying present. Ended going back empty handed. LOL.
Dinner at Astons Steak & Salad. Order the main course and it comes with salad buffet. The salad spread is nice. Not very ex.. But the steak is a bit disappointing though
Back home to watch the final of the Voice of China final. Finally can go out on Sat. We have been staying home almost every Sat to watch the show.
