Visiting Kai Kai and Jia Jia

A visit to the Zoo. Free entry to the Zoo as we got the Corporate Friends of the Zoo passes but we need to buy the tickets to see the Giant Pandas, Kai Kai (凯凯) and Jia Jia (嘉嘉)

Need to book the time slot to visit the Giant Pandas. The slots are selling very fast so must come early to buy the tickets.

$5 for adult ticket and $3 for child.
Kai Kai and Jia Jia are the VIPs in the Zoo now. Can see their posters everywhere in the Zoo.

At the moment, the entrance to the Giant Panda Forest is access via through Singapore Zoo (until river safari is fully open to public in 1st quarter 2013) at the admission queue which is around the Rainforest

We booked the 12pm time slot so we still have lots of time to roam the Zoo and see other cute animals.
Our favourite white Tiger. Love to see it prowling around  its enclosure.

Kennie and her favourite Chimpanzee.

Time to visit the Giant Pandas.

Kai Kai. It looks so cute. Keep eating and eating. Hw I wish i can cuddle it.

This is Jia Jia. Look smaller. Not sure why it looks smaller. Is it becos it's a year younger than Kai Kai or it's a female?

Kai Kai and Jia Jia plush toys. To commemorate the arrival of Kai Kai and Jia Jia, some companies have created panda-inspired memorabilia to welcome the giant animals arriving on Sept 6, 2012. -- ST PHOTO: KEVIN LIM

Lunch at Mama Panda Kitchen.

Panda Pau. Look so Kawai. The Pau is filled with sweet and fragrance red bean paste.
The Mama Panda Kitchen also served hot food like Braised Beef Ramen Set (S$13.90), Chicken Cop Ramen Set (S$13.90), Wanton Ramen Set (S$13.90), Snacks and etc (all sets include 1 main, 1 side and 1 dessert).

Even though the visiting time for the Pandas are quite short and rushing but we all had an enjoyable time with the Giant Panda. We would definitely look forward for the official opening of the River Safari and our next visit with Kai Kai and Jia Jia.
More of other animals.

Must visit Kennie's favourite Orangutan and Giraffe before we leave or Kennie will be very disappointed.

Unfortunately, it started to rain  and we only managed to see a few other animals before we had to call it a day. Oh well, there will always be opportunities for repeat visits to the Zoo in future!
We were resting at the shelter waiting for the rain to stop when we saw this long, weird and ugly looking lizard. Scare the hell out of us. Haha.
Next, we went shopping at Causeway Point.

Our dinner at Yoshinoya.
