Mother's Day Celebration with MIL

Mother's Day Lunch with Mil at Dulukala, a Peranakan restaurant at Beauty World. Have been frequenting Bukit Timah area for food recently. There's actually quite a no. of nice food around this area, you will be spoilt for choices if you ran out of idea where to eat.

Located on the 4th floor of Beauty World Shopping Center, Dulu is a no frill family style Peranakan Restaurant that served reasonably priced food. Decorations in the restaurant is minimal with pieces of Peranakan ware displayed on the wall.Think it's for sale if your eyes catch one that you fancy.

They served authentic Peranakan food which u can find in Malacca. I have never been to a Peranakan restaurant in Singapore so can't compare with the standard here. But comparing with the one in Malacca, think there's still room for improvement.

Fried Selar stuff with Belacan. Mil's version is so much better.

Ayam Buah Keluak. Very nice but it tasted quite different from the one we had in Malacca. This is more sour and spicy.

Squid Ink Sotong. Is this an authentic Peranakan Dish?

Is it Assam or Curry Fish Head? Cant remember cause I never try that.

A visit to a Peranakan Restaurant will not be complete without trying their chendol
