Kennie woke up super early to cook porridge for us, not normal porridge but Abalone porridge. It's our favourite porridge and she really put in a lot of effort in cooking. Using ikan billis, dried scallop and the stock from the abalone to cook the porridge till the rice grains are cooked till silky smooth like cantonese style. Add in abalone and prawn and it's ready to be served. This time she used mini abalone instead which we felt it's not as nice as the normal sized one.
Feeling bored so we went to Marina Square for some shopping. That place is like ghost town all tks to the economic downtown. Went to River Ang Pao but I think I got the place wrong. I remembered reading somewhere that the River Ang Pao is held at the floating stage this year but the place was empty. Did I get the wrong location or it was over already? Nevermind. It's not important. Ended having a short walk along the esplanade bay enjoying the sea view and the breeze from the sea.
Our lunch at Imperial Treasure at MS. Highly recommended by Kennie's colleague. Average only definitely cannot compare with Crystal Jade.
