My bday present. A Panasonic LX3 which is just in time for our GC trip. It may be those point & shoot camera but some of the features are almost comparable to a SLR. Will provide more review soon.
Went to Airport to send off Raj as he's migrating to Australia. Anyone want to migrate cause he has an agent to recommend? Actually it's not really a bad idea to spend our retirement age in Australia. A slow pace country where we can enjoy the best of the red wine every night. We do not have to worry that we will get high pressure or heart attack due to the hectic life in Sg. Can we bear to leave our family and go to a distant country? I don't think we will want to do that.
Raj was too busy to entertain us as his family members were all there to bid farewell to him and in the end it became a mini gathering for Kennie and her gang.

Sat
Usual stuff in the morning. Kids went for their CCA followed by tuition for Veona while we slacked at Mil's house. Kid's exam is just around the corner so stayed at home to revise their schoolwork for the rest of the afternoon.
Uncle Huat is in Batam these few days. Had dinner with Mum at Bukit Timah FC as I'm worried that Mum will be bored without the companion of Uncle Huat, She's so used to be with Uncle Huat wherever she goes. Went shopping at Turf City. That place is quite deserted and it seems like the shops are on the verge of closing down.
Sun
Kennie missed Granny cause we have not met her since CNY so we visited her and had bf with her and Ah Gu at Tanglin Halt FC. The FC will be closed for 9 mths from next Sun onwards for a major upgrading. Will definitely missed their cheap and nice raw fish slice and porridge. I got my first Bday present( a red packet) from Ah Gu. A bit kiasu right as my bday is still more than 1 mth away.
Brought our travel insurance at SA Travel fair. A lucky thing that I didn't buy it earlier as they are having a 30% discount today. Saved $50.
Nothing much for the rest of the day. Went back home to revise for their exam. Jogging in the evening. Had not exercised for quite a while. Getting really very lazy recently. Must be determined to start exercising again.

It's time to relax and have a light outdoor activity at HSBC TreeTop Walk at Macritchie Reservoir.
Breakfast at Rong Cheng Bak Kut Teh at Blk 22 Sin Min Road before proceeding for our walk. We were given a better service when we were there as Cindy's hubby was the Tea distributor for this stall and he's also the distributor for most of the Bak Kut Teh stall in S'pore.
There are a few routes for the Treetop walk and we took the one that start from the carpark at Venus Drive. Total distance for the round trip is around 7km and it took us around 2 hrs to complete it. We need to bash through the nature before reaching the walkway of the free-standing suspension bridge. It connects the two highest points (Bukit Peirce and Bukit Kalang) in MacRitchie and offers a bird’s eye view of the community of plants and animals that live in the forest canopy. The total length of the walkway is about 250m and its height from the forest floor varies, with the highest point at 27m.
Next we went to Ti Lock's house for lunch. It's so nice of him to prepare a sumptuous meal for us.(though the cooking is by her maid). It's so good to be served with nice food and a place for us to relax after a tiring walk.
This pebbles therapy cost around $7k. Ti Lock offered $50 to anyone that can walk nonstop for 30 mins. In the end, no one walk away with it.
Our dinner at Taman Jurong FC. Our favourite Fish Head Curry.

Happy Valentine Day.
Just don't know why I have no mood for all the special days this year. First is a boring CNY and now Valentine Day. Maybe it's because of my stressful job or because of the recession that
caused this. Anyway, we didn't really have anything special this year, no expensive lunch/dinner and no present. Must save up for our Aust trip.
Kids went for their CCA while Kennie and I went to cafe cartel for our romantic "candlelit" breakfast, a cheaper alternative to the real candlelit dinner.
Craving for Bak Kut Teh so we went to Balestier for the famous Founder Bak Kut Teh. It's our first time having it though I have heard of this place for years. Ended queuing for around 45 mins before being ushered to our seats. The shop are filled with photos of celebrities from Sg, HK and Taiwan taken with the owner of the shop. Too bad we didn't spot any tonight. The price of the different soup like pork rib, small intestine, liver and kidney is all fixed at $6. Price is still quite reasonable and the portion is quite big as well. But the salted vege and braised beancurd stick are quite ex, costing $3 a plate.
Overall it's one of the nicest BKT we have tasted but Ah Hwa's BKT is still the best. The plus point of this shop is that the portion is bigger and cheaper than Ah Hwa. The meat is also quite tender but the soup is on a saltish side.
