What a disappointment! When I was just about to book the air tickets, the price went up. The price has increased from $3100 to $3500. It's only a day difference and the price went up. Can't they just wait for another day to increase the fuel tax? Think we won't be going already. It's not because of the increase but we felt that it's really too ex to use so much money for a tour, air tickets, accommodation, food, etc. Think should save up for raining day.

Veona is getting from bad to worse. She was scolded by Kennie and Mil for misbehaving yesterday and it's my turn to scold her today.

She actually went home by herself after school yesterday. Shall not write much on what happened yestray as it's not really a very big issue.

I was really very angry with her today. She was supposed to hand the money for the excursion to her teacher but she ended spending part of it to buy some art and craft stuff. When the teacher asked her for the money. she told her that I don't let her go for the excursion. I was not really angry with her for buying the thing but was angry that she lied to her teacher. I just couldn't control my temper and break her stuff into half and threw it away. & I canned her several times using 2 cans. It's the first time I used 2 cans to can her.

I have put in so much effort and time on them but this is what I get in return. I think I'm really a failure. Maybe it's retribution. Think mum had a hard time bringing me up too and now it's my turn to experience it.

Send the kids to Karin's house at 8 in the morning cause Kennie needs to went back to office again. Have to go early so that we can rush back to celebrate Justin's bday. Felt a bit bad cause we had to wake Karin from her sleep.

Poor Justin. Some of his friends fly aeroplane and only a few turned up. But anyway, he still enjoy himself as he can play game and skip school work.

After celebration, Kevin and gang brought Granny to Clement for Claypot rice. Didn't join them cause we went to visit Mum. Mum just bought a new set of Sofa and bed. Think I'm very much like Mum, always like to buy things.

The kids went for their CCA while I accompanied Kennie to KK Hospital to buy her medicine. Went Bugis and Orchard to get present for Justin. Don't know what to buy for him at this age. It's either too ex for us or too childish for him. Ended buying some comic books for him.

Went to the Japan Tour counter at Taka. Took some brochures and check out the price for the JAL and ANA airlines. Think SQ is much cheaper as compared to this 2 airlines.

Lunch at the famous Ayam penyet at Lucky Plaza. Food is quite nice especially the crumb which is very crispy and I like the ginger taste.

Nothing much for the rest of the day. Kids went back home to do their work.

A normal week again but it has been a very busy week for Kennie. Worked overtime from Tues to Fri and reached home almost 10.30 everyday. Poor thing and she's having headache almost everyday. Think must be due to the stress and non-stop working. Finally can fetched her home on Fri cause the last few days have been busy for me too. Not busy working but busy coaching the kids. Kids and I waited at the Burger King, doing their homework while waiting for her.

Have confirmed our plan to go Japan in June. It will be a Free & Easy trip and we should be going from 12 to 21 Jun 09, taking a night flight, transit at Bangkok and reached Tokyo at 7am. Though a bit tired for us but it's a few hundreds cheaper as compared to day flight. Furthermore, the day flight will reached Tokyo in the evening and the whole day will be wasted. Should be going Tokyo, Disneyland, Disneysea, Kyoto, Osaka and Mt Fuji. A bit kaisu to book the air tickest now but heard that fuel tax will be increasing soon, so better book now. Actually the airfare is quite cheap. Taking SQ 4 to travel promotion at $3100.

Was on leave today as it's Veona's piano exam. As usual, send the kids to Mil's house early in the morning and send Kennie to office. As we are early, we went to Chinatown Market for the Ikan Bilis Yong Tau Fu. It's good to be early cause there's no queue. Yummy. It still tasted as delicious as ever but the price has increased.

Kennie is craving for Ang Ku Kueh so we went to Everton Park to buy the famous Ang Ku Kueh but too bad it's not ready yet. Only managed to take a photo. :) Went home to slack after sending Kennie to her office.

Kennie is on half day leave so I went back to her office to fetch her and we went to Bt Timah Plaza for lunch. It's my favourite stall I was just a small kid during the 80s. The standard has either dropped or my expectation has become higher now.


Kennie went for her piano exam. Not very optimistic that she will get high grade, just a pass and I will be very happy.

Accompanied Kennie back to her office. Good. Can claim some OT then can save up for our Japan Trip. Still considering to go ahead with the Japan Trip or not as the airtickets are so expensive now.

Had lunch at Bukit Batok West Ave 8 Blk 155A Hawker centre. Love their Hokkien Prawn noodle and fish porrdige. The prawn noodle is wrapped in don't know what leaf if u buy $4 and above and their sambal is quite nice but need to pay extra $0.50 for extra chilli. That's ex.

Rushed home after lunch as Veona needs to practice her piano. Her exam is tmr and she still doesn't play very smoothly.

Karin came to visit us and bought the durians from Dempsey Road for us. Have been thinking of going there to eat but their durians are really very expensive. Not sure if it's there to carrot the rich people staying nearby or it's because of the top quality. One thing for sure, their durians are the best that I have eaten. Karin bought the Nai Wang (Milk King) for us. Very ex and I hoot most of it. Hope I won't get sore throat tmr. The main purpose for Karin to visit us is to bring the donation cards for the kids. She has volunteered to bring the kids' donation cards to her office to ask for donation & she has gotten quite a lot of donation, amounting to $100.

Kids went for their GB while we slacked at Mil's house. Kennie wanted to cook Oneh Oneh but we had some miscomms so ended didn't get the chance to go to the market to buy the ingredients.

Meet up with Kennie's colleague to buy a farewell gift for her. Kennie was tasked to choose the present for her. Not wanting to buy something that she doesn't fancy, she decided to meet her and let her choose herself.

Veona went for her extra tuition class while we watched TVB series at the void deck. So nice of Ms Teh to give her extra lesson without additional charges. Hope she can pass her exam and be upgraded to either grade 4 or 5 but it would be mean higher fee. Actually not a bad idea, it's better than buying something that she doesn't like.

Dinner with Agnew and Jo. Went back to the steamboat buffet at Tiong Bahru. The food is not so fresh as compared to previous time. Sian 1/2. Disappointed with it. Swear not to go back again.

As there's still some room in our stomach after the buffet, we went to Redhill Market for dessert. We enjoyed the way the boss served his customers. Combination of Taiji and dance move and we find it an entertainment.

A normal week again. Doing the same things over and over again. Wake up, work, went to Mil's house, coach the kids in their school work, shouting and screaming at the kids, went home, watched TV and sleep.

The mundane life almost changed to a big disaster. I almost met with an accident. A little boy riding a bicycle just dashed across the pedestrian crossing while my car brushed against his bicycle. It's really a blessing that I managed to brake in time or Gods know what will happen to him. The boy just continued riding like nothing has happened while my heart almost stopped.

Was on leave on Mon afternoon. Took leave specially to coach Veona in her schoolwork. So much homework but so little time. Poor baobei. Had lunch with Kennie at TP before going over to Mil's house.

A day in Hort Park. Hot it's really hot. Hot as in the weather hot and a hot place for visitors. Singaporean simply love new stuff.

As we were too hungry to continue the walk, we went to Henderson Food Centre for Brunch. We will be back again to complete the whole Southern Ridges.

Went to sis's house. Sis cooked glutinous rice for us and Melvin bought durians for us. The best durian is the Mao Shan Wang aka Cat Mountain King. It looks just like butter with the bright yellow color and it tasted really bitter. Quite ex, cost $18 per kg but it's worth it.
