Accompanied Kennie to her office as I was worried that she might feel unwell on her way to work. Chanced upon a nice prawn noodle (Amoys St Prawn Noodle) at Tanjong Pagar Complex.

Fetched Videl from Mil's place to NUH for her medical appointment at NUH. The Specialist has actually discharged her during the previous appt and she has told us that Videl can do without her spectacles. Her school has referred her to the polyclinic during the routine checkup recently but we choose to bring her back to NUH to see the Specialist. We have actually wanted to see the Specialist a few months back as we were worried that we might have heard the Specialist wrongly. The Specialist confirmed she can do without her spectacles.

Send her back to Mil's house and slacked there for a while. A long journey to Ubi to collect my car. It took me almost 2 hr to reach there. I'm quite satisfied with my car this time. It's back to basic again as the whole car is now black. Hope I do not have to waste anymore money to do up my car.

It's indeed a tiring day as I spend most of time going from West to East a few times by taking public transport.

Was on Off today and tmr. Must enjoy more before they are back from Australia.

Send Kennie to office as I was worried that she might faint again. Went to STA Ayer Rajah for the yearly car inspection. Can't stand the peak hour traffic.

Wasted some $$ to respray some parts of my car to black. My front bumper was cracked cause I knocked onto a kerb a few weeks back. Heart super pain but it was good excuse to respray my car.

Had lunch with Kennie at her workplace. it has been quite sometime since I had lunch with her at her workplace. Luckily that idiot was not there or I would definitely give her a @#$%^ look.

Shopping alone at Orchard. Wanted to buy a pair of sandals and leather shoes but my socks and shoes were wet thanks to the heavy rain. Ended going back empty ended as I do not want to embarrass myself in front the sales staff.

Fetched Kennie from her office cause she was not feeling well. Almost fainted when she's on her way to work this morning. Maybe it's due to the stress caused by her work. There's an idiot in her Co. who has been picking her recently. Dear was so sad that she cried last Fri. @#$%^^&*( that idiot. Cursed her!!!!

Kennie's Favourite Roast Duck Rice
Nice Avocado drink

Breakfast/Lunch at Alexandra Village.

Very nice Claypot Laksa . It was formerly from Depot Road and has shifted there. There's a notice at the stall that inform us that it's the one and only Depot Road Laksa in S'pore. The rest are all fake. How about the stall at Food Republic? It claimed that it's also Depot Road Laksa and each bowl cost $6. It's really too expensive.

Anyway the kids enjoyed themselves. Veona went to her frd's house for bday party while Videl went to Church with Karin, Justin, Jodie and Lucas. Poor Kennie and I, wasted our Sun. Chauffeured them to the Church and Veona to her frd's house, and ended spending the rest of our time at Mil's house.

Outside MOS. Halloween Theme

Seating on the throne feeling like a King

Just back from clubbing. Lunar, a new club at Clarke Quay, free entry using the HSBC CC. The drink there is very ex. Bottle of Chivas at $228. Membership at $388 inclusive of 2 bottles of premium liquor. The place is quite classy and the 2nd level is a bit like those KTV bar with girls. Anyway the singers really CMI. No showmanship, no nice costume and average voice. The songs played by the DJ was nice but a pity that no one danced in the dance floor. Maybe it's still early. Couldn't get a table as it's all reserved so we left after a while.

Some of the clubbers in Clarke Quay are dressed up for Halloween. Look very scary. A group of them even dressed to the same theme. Imagine bringing one home for ONS. Keke.

Wanted to go to Scarlet City at AMK Hub but feeling lazy and hungry, changed my mind. Ended having supper at Boon Lay. Anyway, another disappointment. Some claimed that it's the best Nasi Lemak around. Rice is quite bland which is the most important factor to determine if the Nasi Lemak is nice or not.

The queue was super long stretching to the carpark but it's moving quite fast

Boon Lay Power Nasi Lemak

Finally had a chance to eat my favorite Kwai Chap at Bukit Timah FC. It's always closed when we went there, guessed business must be so good that they don't need to open everyday. But standard has dropped, too oily and it's getting more pricey.

My Favourite Kwai Chap

Favourite Bean Curd & Soya Bean

Favourite Coffee. So many favourite food in this Hawker Centre where I spent my childhood.

We went to Jacob Ballas Children's Garden at Botanic Garden. A place exclusively for children under 13. Adults can only enter with children accompanying them. A nice place for children as there's quite a no. of facilities for children to play and to learn about science and the nature but it's quite a letdown as it's raining.

Mini Maze for kids

On top the Tree House

The Cave

Suspension Bridge

The magic of photosynthesis

Kids Cafe

Little Tables and Stools for kids at Kids Cafe

As it's still early, we went to Army Musuem. Free entry till 31 Dec 07. Nothing much to see there as it's more on the history and heritage of the Army but the show on the Army readiness is very nice. I'm quite amazed by the sound, light effect and the setting of the show. Veona and Videl enjoyed themselves at the mini SOC ground.

Saw this sign outside S'pore Discovery Centre and Army Musuem. Something new to me.

This was in the 60s after the riot. They are in the run-down bus

Mini SOC ground for kids

Who is this cute little girl trying to climb the low wall?

Nice Scenery

Had lunch at Poisonivy (website http://www.bollywoodveggies.com/). A ulu place at Neo Tiew Road near Lim Chu Kang. Lousy service as they were entertaining 2 group of conducted tour. Saw G1 and his family there too.

Activities in Bollywood Veggies

Lots of fun in Kranji Countryside. Have yet to explore most of them

Finally we could cook our own meal cause our new stove is finally here. Can cook chilli crab, boil soup, fried rice etc etc. Yummy

Had dinner with Mum at a newly opened Vegetarian coffee shop at Gombak. It's much comparable to restaurant standard and the price is quite cheap.

Vegetable with mushroom
Cereal Prawn
Bittergourd Soup
Tom Yam Cod Fish

The kids going to church tmr so they stayed overnight at Karin's place. Poor Karin. Have to look after 4 kids as they are all staying overnight at her place and Lucas will be coming over the next morning. .

Kids finally finished their exam. Praying for good grades. Mil said I'm very harsh with Veona over her school work. I felt very bad too. I always tell myself not to be so harsh to her but when I'm angry, it's uncontrollable.

MC on Tues and Wed for Flu and fever. A good time for me to rest. 100% recharge.

Kennie's handphone finally broke down. We thought it's due to the software that we upgrade ourselves so we brought the handphone to Nokia Service Centre to upgrade for us. But it's still the same. Luckily the customer service is very nice, free upgrade for me. Nokia phone really CMI. Don't think will be getting those high tech phone from Nokia again.

Boss and colleagues coming back from Australis next week. Good time always pass fast.

Saw 1 of my Sec School classmates, Zhicai.. It's good that he can still recognize me, this shows that I have not changed much for the last 16 years (keke).

Mil so troublesome today. Wanted us to bring her out for dinner but when we went over to fetch her, she changed her mind. Said she rather stay at home to watch TV. Wasted my time.

So having the chicken rice crave, we went to Margaret Drive. The chicken rice at Margaret Drive never failed to satisfy our craving as it always maintained the same standard.

Saturday, October 20, 2007

Brought the kids to CMPB for a story telling program organized by SAF PSC. The kids got to interact with other children and get involved in the story telling activities. Something relaxing for the kids after days of exam revision.

Went Vivo City to shop for cooking stove as the one at home finally broke down. Had Chicken Rice for lunch at Mei Lin Hawker. Finally get to try it after going there for a few times. It's either we are too early or too late. Anyway nothing much to shout about the chicken rice here. Chilli is sweet, chicken is not soft and smooth, the rice is the only thing that got a pass from us. I would like to go back to Margaret drive for their Chicken Rice. I missed the Chicken Rice there.

Went back home to revise the school work. Exam is just next week, sigh, hope they can get good result.

Bought a stove at IMM and was busy filling the Lucky Draw Coupons as we were given a huge stack of coupons. So tiring but hope our effort paid off. Just let us win a Mazda CX-7SP.

Friday, October 19, 2007

Went for a briefing at CMPB in the morning. Thought it would be another relax day but my happy mood was destroyed by an idiot. It's like watching "Just Follow Law". I want Black and White, if not I will not proceed with your request. Bish!! I'm not in my office so how to send her the Black and White? Luckily manage to find Chris and used the PC in his office to send the Black and White to her.

Had another course at Tower B Level 22, "Your Image is Important". Teaching us how to dress up, etiquette, hair styling etc. They even invited the stylist from Essensusals Saloon to talk about hair styling but it's quite commercial as they keep recommending us their products.

Attended OC's son's wedding at Paramount Restaurant. Quite a ulu place near Parkway Parade. We thought it's a lousy restaurant so a few us decided to give a smaller Ang Pao. Ended that the restaurant is under Tung Lok Group and the food is quite nice. Think we have short changed him. Anyway, that place is surrounded by sleazy pub with Thai and Philipino gals. It's like Orchard Tower. Seems quite happening and the gals are all wearing sexily.

Back from Mambo. Waiver of cover charge and 1 for 1 drinks using the Citibank Credit Card. But drinks in Zouk sucks. We had Margarita ice and Lychee Martini at Wine Bar. Think it's the worse Margarita that we have ever drank. The house pour also tasted very diluted. It's fun to see the Zoukers dance. There's different patterns for every song and they will all dance the same. It look a bit like sign language. Felt a bit out of place, think it's due to generation gap.

Most of them are dancing the same style

I heard a Rumour

Boring Faces

Zhaoming very bad, hooked a gal at Phuture and forgotten about us. He ended dancing with her and we left without him. Chee Hong!!!!
