It's my birthday today and I'm 23 this years. Oops . I mean 32. Really very scary. 1 leg is in the grave already.

Was on off today, brought the kids to Mil's hose in the morning. Could have let them sleep at Mil's house yesterday but I wanted to see my 3 Bao Bei the 1st thing on my bday. Kennie was on afternoon leave so I slacked at home alone. Visited Mum at Sis's house. I always visit her on my Bday as she's the one who bring me to this world and I should visit her on this special day. She wanted to cook Mee Sua for me but I told her not to as I would be leaving soon. Keke. Got an Ang Pao from her.

See people queuing for this at Tanjong Pagar xchange and we joined in too. Nothing fantastic. Maybe it will become the new craze in town after donut.

Meet Kennie for lunch. Actually wanted to try Greenhouse Buffet at Ritz Carton but Kennie worked till 1.45 pm. Can't blame her cause she's very busy during month end it's good enough that she's able to take leave. Ended having Hi Tea at Carousel, Royal Plaza on Scotts. There's quite a large spread of food and we didn't manage to try every dishes.. Went shopping and it's quite boring as there's nothing to buy. Anyway, I'm contented just to be with my love one. Don't really need a big birthday party.

Videl was presented this cert for getting 3rd in her class. Only received it recently after almost half a year.

It's the Enrolment Service for the Girls Brigade and it's held at the church at Greenridge. The kids are officially the members of the GB after the service. It's incorporated with the Sunday Church service and the members of the church prayed and gave their blessing to the kids. Have to rush to the funeral after the service.

Supposed to help out at the funeral but in the end didn't contribute much. We spend most of the time at Karin's house as the kids have not finished their school work. Kennie went tot Granny's house to accompany her as we were worried that she could not the blow.

Dad brought Aunt Aunt and my 2 younger sisters back for a short trip and we had dinner at farm Mart. A treat from sis for my birthday and also a welcome treat for dad. The noise is driving me crazy as there's 6 children (Veona, Videl, Cara, Crystal, Jolin and Joey) running and make lots of noise. Can't imagine myself with so many kids for the whole day.

The wine tasted quite nice but a bit e. Think it's around $50+

Was quite happy as Karin is giving me a birthday treat at Mushroom pot but we received a SMS from her that the dinner has to be postponed. Karin's father is warded in ICU and his condition is quite critical. Kennie was quite worried so we rushed down to see him.

Uncle was transferred to normal ward when we reached and he was resting. The doctor said that there are actually 2 options to explore. 1. To put tubes in his lungs to aid his breathing and it might extend his life for another few months but he has to be warded for the remaining months of his life. 2. To try out the antibiotics and see if it helps. They choose the latter as he would not have enjoyed his last moment of his life warded with tubes on him. We were about to leave the hospital when Karin received a phone call from the hospital. Uncle has passed award. we ran up to the ward and he's lying motionless on his bed. It's the first time I witness a dead person in front of me other then those I saw in the wake. My heart was very heavy though I didn't cry.

Karin actually told us not to visit Uncle, as she's worried that it might be too troublesome for us. She even told us not to tell everyone that Uncle is warded. We were glad that we went down or we would not have seen the last of him.

We send the kids to Mil's house as we thought we could render some help to Karin but we were told that the tentage for the wake would only be set by by noon tmr.

PB result is out and it's so much worse than last year. Really disappointed and I'm thinking of transferring to another office, partly due to little recognition in my current job and there's lots of uncertainty in my current job due to downsizing. Emailed Chris, my previous boss to check if there's any post available in his office. He replied that there might be a post available soon and it's handling NS stuff. A bit worried that I might not be able to handle it as it's something new but he replied that I should be able to undertake any job given to me. That's a consolation reply.

Fetched the kids to piano lesson. There's a fire near Ms Teh's house. The road near the blk was cordon off and it's surrounded by many fire engines. Seems quite serious as the residents staying between the 4th to 7th floors are not allowed to go home. There's people with luggages waiting at the void deck. Hope there's no one injured.

Have to accompany Kennie to Vivo City to settle her cashone ac. The check was bounced cause she forgot to transfer the money to her current ac. They almost charged her the admin fee and interest charge amounting to almost $500.

I failed my IPPT today and it's the first time after 12 years of my NS. Actually I have half expected that I will fail since I have just recovered from my back problem. It's more like a mental obstacle. I couldn't even pass the standing broad jump as I was worried that the impact from the jump will aggravate my back, the 1st jump was 190+cm and the 2nd jump was 200+. Only got 1 point for that. My average distance for previous years was 230+. Sit up only 27 and pull up only 4. Sigh. I left without running the 2.4km. I will be back for RT. Sian. Meaning that my weekend and my night time will be burnt.

The PB letter would be issued to us tmr. Though my ranking has dropped this year but I'm still hoping that there will not be a drastic drop for a PB.

Breakfast with Granny, Aunt, Ken and Karin at Gim Moh Hawker. Went to Granny's house for a while to accompany her. Actually wanted to bring the kids to church today as it's Easter Day but Veona has lots of homework. In the end, have to stay at home to do.

Famous fried cockles kway teow. Highly recommended by Channel U in 1 of their program.

Kids went for excursion at Girls Brigade HQ while we slack at Mil's house. I read my storybook while Kennie gossiped with Mil. Took some photos after the excursion as it's the first time they wore the uniform. They look so pretty in it.



Bday treat from Agnew and Jo. Don't want to let him spend so much so I choose a more budget place. Actually wanted to eat the chicken rice at Margaret Drive as I have a sudden craving for it but Agnew recommended another chicken rice at Yishun Central Blk 925. Overall, the rice and the chili are much better than Margaret Drive but I still prefer the chicken from Margaret Drive. The chicken at Margaret Drive is much smoother and the serving is more generous. I suspect that this stall actually didn't serve us the whole chicken.




Birthday gift from Agnew and Jo. It's a wine opening set, something that I will always use it.
