Woke up with whole body aching after sleeping with Veona and Dear Dear on 1 small pathetic single bed (Videl slept with Karin and Ken). Woke up every hour to check the time and hoped that it will be daylight soon.


Went to Escape Theme Park after much persuasion from the kids. Weather was really hot but the kids still enjoyed themselves but not for Kennie and I. In the end, Kennie had a very serious headache the whole day.

Went to Cheers convenience shop to buy food for BBQ. Not much varieties of food but still able to buy those basic BBQ food.

BBQ was good especially with Ken (Big Chef from Maldives Four Season Resort) around. He BBQ a few different types of beef for us. Yummy. It really tasted very nice. The beef was really very fresh, juicy and sweet.

Celebrated Veona's bday as it's her bday tomorrow. Bet she enjoyed herself. But poor dear dear, her headache was so bad that she didnt join in the BBQ.

Went jogging with boss today at Sungei Tengah. Like jogging cause the scenery is better compared to our office compound. But the con is some area smell of cow dung as I believed they used it as fertilizer.

Stayed overnight in Pasir Ris Chalet tonight. Veona and Videl went to the chalet earlier then us as Kevin brought them there. Kevin is really very good to the kids. Specially brought Veona to her school dental to bring forward the dental appt so that they can follow them to the chalet earlier.

Didn't do anything much in chalet except drinking red wine and watching TV, while the kids played XBOX. Didn't really sleep well cause 3 people shared a single bed.

Poor Dear Dear, OT till 10+ today. Fetched her from her office cause can't bear to see her take public transport and come back so late.

Videl went for her eyes checkup at NUH. Her eyesight has improved since the last visit and the Specialist discharged her. The Specialist told us that she can choose to wear or don't wear her spectacle. That's good news but think we will still want her to wear her spectacle.

Visited mum at Sis's house. Sis and her family are going to Hong Kong this Wed. Hope I can go there again soon.

Brought mum to Jurong Sports Complex for Sushi. The ambience is quite nice and cosy. Each plate of sushi only cost $0.99. It's really very cheap as compared to Sakae Sushi and Suki Sushi and the food is much better. Overall only the sushi in the conveyor belt is cheap. The other dishes are quite expensive but there are quite a lot of varieties.

There's a swimming complex with water playground and a stadium there. Will bring the kids there for a swim or to jog soon.

Finally came out with the draft itinerary for my Taiwan Trip. 2 & a half weeks more to go.

So tired but still have to drag ourselves up cause Kennie need to go back to office settle her work. But at least I got to sleep in her office but poor Kennie, got to work.

Karin and Karen brought the kids out again. cause Karen wanted to buy present for Veona. Think they are overly pampered.

Nothing much for the night. Went back home early as Kennie was very tired and the kids have not completed their work yet. Watched "I'm not stupid 2". Actually didn't want to let the kids watch as we are worried that they might learn all the vulgarity and the bad behaviours. But it's really a very nice show at least from the parents point of views. It's something that parents ought to be concerned of. Very touching show. Made Videl cried and nearly made Veona and I cry.

Had BF with mum at Hong Lim FC today then we went shopping at Chinatown. Ended making mum angry unknowingly and she said she wanted to leave first. In the end only realized that she's angry cause we didn't want her to buy stuff for the kids. It's not that we don't her to buy stuff for the kids, we just don't want her to waste money. Anyway, managed to pacify her after a while.

After that, Kennie went to AMK Hub to do her hair treatment. Went to Popular book shop to buy storybooks and assessment for the kids. Hope they can improve on their results. sigh..

Met Agnew and Jo for dinner at Taman Jurong FC and then to Redhill FC for Dessert. Was tempted to go Club Velvet Dragon cause Jo is going with Ah Ger. Finally cannot resist the temptation.

Cover charge is a bit ex, $20 for 2 drinks. Didnt pay the cover charge as we got the Citibank and OCBC Titanium Credit Card. Ordered a bottle of red wine at $49. The wine tasted horrible as it's is very sour and has a strong woody taste. Think the DJ really CMI. It's like a few lousy songs followed by 1 nice songs then followed by a few lousy song then 1 nice song. the whole setup is almost like the former MOMO except that there's a few cages for people to dance inside. Don't really like the place as I don't like the songs they played, if not it should be a nice place to hangout.

Cannot stand Jo's frd, Ah Ger. Got those stuck up ah lian look. Though we have met a few times, we had ever really talked to each other. Stuck Up? Oh pls!

3 more weeks before our trip to Taiwan. Can't help being excited. But I have not confirmed the itinerary yet. The shit is really on the verge liao. Feeling very Gan Cheong now, must faster firm up the itinerary. Have been serving net this few days to check out the places of interest and how to reach there by public transport. Taiwan, Here I come!. Ah Bian, Here I come!

Today is Eat with Your Family Day. It was first introduced during the SARS period when the governments hoped that Singaporeans can step out to eat outside and not worried about the SARS. Anyway, with or without this day, our family always eat together. But at least I can leave office 1 hour earlier.

Kennie and her colleagues got a chance to take a ride in their Co.'s Tug boat to do a towage job.. So happening.

We were looking at this photo and wondering what is it when the news broadcast that
a water spout has been spotted from the eastern parts of Singapore.

The water spout is a narrow column of water that is sucked to the base of a cloud, making it look like a funnel.

An average diameter of a waterspout is 50 metres and it has average wind speeds of up to 150 kilometres per hour.

Don't think the photographer know that she has taken a pic of the water spout or she would have informed everyone.

Went to GRPS today for the Meet the Teachers session. First we met up with Veona's Form teacher,Mrs Shanti. She feedback tat Veona is still coping well in class. Submission was on time and didn't have much problem in class. I highlighted that Veona should relinquish her appt as a Prefect as I'm worried that it might affect her work. But she told me that it's a good exposure for her and might help gloom her to be a better person. Teacher advised that she should read more storybooks to improve her English.

Next we went to see Videl's Form teacher, Mrs Low. She's very satisfy with Videl's work but highlighted that she's weak in her oral. Think she's too shy ba. Actually I hate Oral too.

Next we went to the hall to see the mother tongue's teacher. Veona's teacher talk and talk non stop but it's good that she provided lots of valuable advises on how to improve Veona's Chinese. On the other hand, Videl's teacher has nothing much to talk. Again, she's quite satisfied with her work.

I'm going to buy lots of storybooks and assessment this Sat.

So tired. Woke up at 4+ to run the Tiger Trail Competition. Didn't take part in the competition this year cause didn't really train for it. Completed 16km within 1 hr 30 min, was quite shock that I can still complete without training. The 1st 200 to complete the 16km will get a medal. Not bad, still come in 33rd position. Haha. Got a Certificate of participation and a medal. Didn't even get any medal when I took part in the competitive teams for the last few years.

So tired now. Boss gave us off for the rest of the day. so shiok. Going to sleep soon.

Super Hangover when I woke up but still have to drag myself to Kennie's office as she got urgent work to be completed. Must remember not to mix red wine and hard liquor in future.

Karin brought the kids to Suntec to buy Birthday present for Veona. Kids nowadays are so good life but they still don't appreciate it.

Went to spotlight to buy some stuff for my car. Dinner at Beach Road FC. Had Fish Penyet while dear(Kennie) dear(Veona) dear(Videl) had the famous Beef Noodle. The beef noodle tasted a bit different as compared to the normal beef noodle found in Food Court. Don't really like the beef noodle there. There's a drink stall that sell nice strawberry shake. really very NICE! The kids stayed at Karin's house tonight.

Left after a while to E bar. Kanna smoke by Huiqing cause she told me that the place is very happening. In the end, it's even more deserted than 97. Live Band also CMI. Was happy to see Peter there cause we lost contact for almost 7 years. He even opened a bottle of liquor for us.

Ziyang came to fetch me for lunch today. What else but to introduce me to the products that he is selling. He brought his Senior along and in my mind I was thinking that they will be going all out to persuade me to either buy their products or to join them.

Came to know that he has broken off with his GF. What a waste. He used to tell me that it's quite fortunate for him to find a U Graduate. Suspect his senior is his part time or GF now.

The meetup is not as bad as I think. He's working in a SLM (Single Level Marketing) Co. named Enyouth. They specialized in Health products and magnetic mattress cover. Siao. cost $2400 for a queen size cover. Anyway they are not really hard in persuading me to buy their product or in joining their Co. They did a very stupid test on me. They told me to close up my thumb and index finger firmly and Ziyang tried to break it. Bish. So easy. Next, they told me to hold the magnet bracelet for a min. After that he tried to break free my fingers again. ???? The magnets are supposed to make me stronger and so that it will be harder for him to break them free. But I dont feel any difference. Anyway I tell them I will consider first. Hope they won't keep calling me to pester me or I think that's the end of our friendship

There's a lot of complains from the China students as well warning their follow students not to be cheated.

My Bao Bei got their results for their SA1 already. Videl got Band 1 for all 3 subjects and full marks for her Maths. Videl got Band 1 for Chinese but Band 2 for the rest of her subjects. It's alright, we will try to help Veona improve her result. But I guessed she must be pretty disappointed but no point crying over spill milk.

Videl called me and told me not to shout as she's going to tell me something important. She got 100 marks for her Maths SA. Though I'm very happy about her result but I can't help worrying about Veona. I'm worried that she might feel jealous or inferior. Though she appeared to be ok but I won't be able to know her feeling deep down under her. Hope she can improve on her work after the change in tuition teacher.

Woke up at 5.30 am today to go marketing at Tekka market. Heard that there's 2 stores that sell big and fresh Sri Lanka Crabs and true enough, the stores are there. It's really very hard to find fresh crabs in market . Most of the crabs we saw in markets or supermarkets are either small underage crabs or it smelled of ammonia. Bought a few crabs, white promfret, lala, seafood and vegetables.

Brought mum to the famous Outram Park Ah Hua Ba Kut Teh for breakfast. She loves the soup there. The boss chatted with us and told us about his unfortunate past when he met with an accident and became paralysied. It's a mirale that he has recovered and he's doing lots of charity to help the needys now.

Prepared a few simple dishes for Kennie and my mother in law but of course with the help of Kennie.

Don't know the name of this vegetable. I always call it the sister of lady Fingers. Very easy to cook, just stir fried with garlic, chilli and drief prawn

Very fresh prawn bought at Tekka Market. Only $12 per kg. Just steam it.

Chilli Lala. Ingredients: Lala, chilli, bean paste and ginger

Steam Crab for the children. Ingredients: Crabs, ginger, egg, wine and soya sauce.

Chilli Crab. Ingredients: Crabs, chilli paste, ginger and egg.

Steam white promfret. Ingredients: White promfrets, salted vegetable, tomato and soya sauce.

So tired when the day ended. But it's worth it as everyone is happy cause it's like a mini family gathering.
